Job Summary:  The Medicare Sales Representative (MSR) is responsible for exceeding sales objectives by enrolling and retaining Medicare beneficiaries through in-home appointments, seminars or scheduled sales events. The MSR will also work directly with in-network Physicians, and contracted hospitals and facilities to engage the pre-Medicare population and educate the physicians and staff on the value proposition of MAPD plans. The MSR will guide, educate and assist Medicare beneficiaries who are interested in enrolling in a PHP Medicare Advantage. The Representative will also develop Member engagement activities that create a 92% retention rate and consistent referral source.


Job Requirements

Regulatory Requirements:

  • BA/BS or associates degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred. 
  • Must maintain a State Life and Health Insurance License.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in the sales and marketing field or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  • Knowledge and experience in healthcare, insurance sales, client management and servicing customers.
  • Ability to apply state and federal insurance laws and legislation and PHP business processes to everyday circumstances needed.
  • Experience with and knowledge of Medicare benefits and CMS rules and regulations are essential.
  • Experience in customer service or call center preferred.
  • Experience in direct to consumer insurance preferred.

Language Skills:

  • Ability to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and in writing. Bi-lingual communication is preferred.
