Description:

QMA, a wholly owned subsidiary of Prudential Financial, has been in existence in various forms for almost twenty years.  Its current structure was created when The Quantitative Management Group, a unit of Prudential Investment Management, was spun off into a limited liability company in July 2004.

 

The success of QMA is a function of several factors, including the firm’s leading-edge quantitative research capabilities.  To assist in the continued growth of the business, management is investing in key functions throughout the firm, including quantitative research.  Accordingly, we are interested in hiring a Senior Investment Associate to function as a general resource for the firm’s equity product line.

 

This role will act as a pivotal member of the sales team, providing continuous in-office support.

  • Support West Coast Sales Team in providing market intelligence on investment and industry trends.

  • Assist Sales Team in representing QMa in critical relationships with major clients and consultants.

  • Provide post-conference follow up as indicated by team.

  • Coordinate presentation books and distribution for offsite meetings.

  • Responsible for managing and maintain monthly sales forecast.


  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • 3-5 years experience in a financial institution within Sales, Marketing, or Client Services.
  • Series 7 & 63 preferred.
  • Asset Management experience preferred.
  • Strong project management, organizational, and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, thrive in a deadline driven environment with a proven commitment to turning in consistently high quality work.
  • Strong work ethic, with a high level of integrity, energy and flexibility
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, expert in PowerPoint
  • Technical understanding of quantitative investing
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with an ability to relate to professionals at various levels within the firm, client organization and pension consultants
  • A self-starter with the ability to work independently.  At the same time, he/she needs to be able to contribute to a collegial and team oriented firm.
