Schick Shadel Hospital, a 60 bed alcohol and substance use disorder hospital located in the outskirts of Seattle, has been providing successful chemical dependency treatment since 1935.  The hospital, which claims the "#1 Success Rate" in treating alcoholism, bases its success on its unique and powerful counter conditioning treatment program.  The hospital provides medical detoxification and an intense, short stay addiction treatment program for alcohol, marijuana, cocaine, methamphetamine, prescription opioids and heroin (smoked and snorted).

Schick Shadel Hospital, is seeking an experienced Scheduler.  The Scheduler must be detail oriented, with excellent interpersonal communication skills and the ability to multitask.  Applicant will be responsible for scheduling the nursing staff, which is comprised of fulltime and on-call (PD) RNs, LPNs, and CNAs, to effectively provide nursing care to patients who have substance use disorders based upon patient acuity and census.  The Scheduler will be responsible for coordinating with payroll to ensure that the schedule, hours worked, and payroll records reconcile.  In addition, the Scheduler will provide clerical assistance to the Nursing Department in typing treatment plans, performing chart audits and meeting the administrative needs of the Nursing Department.

Job Requirements

Job Duties:

  1. Schedules nursing staff to deliver required nursing services and adjusts schedule based upon patient acuity and daily census.
  2. Maintains current contact information on all nursing staff.
  3. Assists the Nursing Department by typing up the Nursing Care Treatment Plans on new admissions for the assessing nurse to sign.
  4. Coordinates with payroll on a daily basis to resolve missed punches and make sure that the biweekly payroll is accurate and reflects proper shift differentials.
  5. Assists the Director of Nursing in maintaining policies/procedures and forms and other administrative tasks as assigned.
  6. Assists with chart auditing and nursing reports.
  7. Participates in annual hospital mandated inservices and required education, training and competencies.

 

Education/Experience: 

Education:  High school graduate required with some college course work preferred.
Experience: A minimum of three (3) years of personnel scheduling experience required. Prior experience managing or scheduling staff in a healthcare setting preferred.
