Arbour Hospital, a 118 bed (106 Adult/12 Adolescent) private psychiatric facility located in Boston’s Jamaica Plain neighborhood; the hospital also manages a satellite adult psychiatric unit in Quincy. Arbour Hospital is accredited by The Joint Commission and licensed by the MA Department of Mental Health. Position Summary: Arbour Counseling Services in Jamaica Plain, MA is currently seeking a School Program Coordinator. The School Program Coordinator is responsible for the overall quality of a specified region of public and private schools (grades K-12) where behavioral health services are provided by the agency. The School Program Coordinator continuously assures that clinical services are in full compliance with applicable regulations and payer contract specifications. The School Program Coordinator promotes the development of the agency through marketing and by cultivating relationships with other providers, local and state agencies, and managed care organizations. Essential Functions: 1. Develops policies and procedures for the program which ensure regulatory compliance and high quality care. 2. Sets and monitors productivity levels of staff to ensure delivery of clinical services in a timely manner 3. Maintains budgeted census 4. Provides direct clinical supervision to Staff that results in a high quality of care and compliance with record keeping requirements 5. Recommends appropriate action or review of any staff member whose performance does not meet expectations 6. Ensures continual growth of the program by coordinating marketing and staff recruitment efforts 7. Promotes the success of the program through fostering and maintaining referral sources 8. Makes clinical decisions in the context of program goals and philosophy 9. Responds appropriately to client crises 10. Completes diagnostic evaluations and treatment plans accurately and timely 11. Provides competent case management as exemplified by timely follow-up and by coordinating treatments with referral sources and collaterals 12. Ensures the continual growth of the Program through effective selection and development of staff 13. Plans and executes work systematically, and with established priorities for greater efficiency as well as efficiently utilizing personnel, equipment and staff to meet cost and quality standards.
