Job Details

The Protein Engineering Department is seeking an outstanding Scientist to aid in antibody discovery, engineering and technology development projects. They will be responsible for working closely with individuals in both protein engineering and biology to develop the next generation of antibody based cancer therapeutics. They will have access to state of the art antibody generation technologies and will be expected to continue our tradition of developing world class methods and technologies that enhance our therapeutic antibody discovery efforts.The primary responsibility will be working on various aspects of antibody engineering including antibody discovery using phage display libraries with the purpose of developing therapeutic antibodies.







The position requires an individual who is highly motivated, is open to and capable of learning new skills efficiently, has meticulous bench-work and record-keeping skills, can function independently, is able to communicate scientific information effectively, is productive in a dynamic and collaborative environment and can thrive within a team. Strong references that support these characteristics are required.







A BS or MS in molecular biology, biochemistry, chemical engineering or an equivalent field with a minimum of 5 years of laboratory research experience in protein engineering is required.







The successful candidate should have a solid theoretical and experimental background in protein engineering. This includes extensive working knowledge of DNA manipulations, protein expression and purification, phage display library panning, and standard molecular biology techniques such as ELISA.







The ability to work with numerous samples in parallel while following detailed scientific protocols and maintaining meticulous scientific record keeping is required.







Previous experience with antibody engineering is preferred and robotics is a plus.
