Position Description

This role will involve working on teams responsible for delivering production releases at the end of each sprint, automation of testing (regression, functional, performance), CI/CD initiatives, and improving the way software is delivered. The Scrum Master serves as a leader in Agile / Scrum methodology and coaches teams to follow best Agile and DevOps practices. This Scrum Master collaborates with scrum teams within our organization and across other applications, facilitates working collaboration sessions, and removes roadblocks for the teams. The candidate filling this role will be expected to work with the software architects, engineering leaders, and members of the software engineering team as they deliver high-quality products and solutions for our customers.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Resolve blockers and conflicts on the team
  • Work as a scrum master and agile and DevOps coach
  • Provide expertise to ensure team commitments are met during each iteration
  • Help to advance the team DevOps maturity (including agile maturity and adoption of  CI/CD)
  • Continually work on quality improvements reducing defects
  • Filling the role of scrum master on multiple teams simultaneously
  • Responsible for scheduling and facilitating scrum ceremonies
  • Anticipating issues and acting proactively to address these and other roadblocks
  • Speaking to project execution details to both the business and technical teams
  • Improving processes to optimize performance and value over time
  • Providing risk management and issue/problem resolution as required
Required Qualifications:
  • 3+ years overall IT experience
  • 1.5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master/Agile Coach
  • 3-6 months experience working with public cloud (AWS/Azure) or private cloud (containers/Docker/Mesos/Kubernetes) solutions
  • Experience in DevOps / Agile Coaching / Servant Leadership
  • Experience managing a scrum team through agile/iterative methodologies and Kanban
  • Experience working with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery concepts
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Scrum Master certification (PSM/CSM/ equivalent)
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in the health care industry
  • Experience using CA Agile Central
  • Java or other development experience
  • Experience working with Big Data (Hadoop/Spark) systems
