As a Security Architect, you will be responsible for driving sales and partner enablement of Cisco Security solutions in country collaborating with our Account Executives in a pre-sales technical role, showcasing Cisco product solutions, setting up demonstrations and explaining features and benefits to customers and designing and configuring products to meet specific customer needs.

 

 

In this role you will:

 

  • Help the Security Sales team to build and execute a security sales plan and provide technical and sales support for accounts in assigned territory/Portugal.
  • Identify new security sales opportunities, together with sales team
  • Perform technical presentations for customers, partners and prospects in a highly effective manner.
  • Drive and look for new opportunities in Public Sector customers
  • Leverage and develop our partners and cloud & managed service providers and relationships to key decision makers and influencers
  • Keep up-to-date on relevant competitive solutions, products and services
  • Build a strong partner community with security certified partners and individuals
  • Manage the customer relationship for existing key security accounts and up sell new Cisco Security solutions.
  • Develop deep understanding of product capabilities and value proposition
  • Develop strong trust relationships with main security technical stakeholders in Portuguese Public Sector and Enterprise space
  • Actively participate as a specialist on assigned Virtual Team and provides consultative support in their area of specialization to other Systems Engineers.
  • Work with broader sales and SE team to leverage the full extent of Cisco solutions and resources to overcome competitive pressures and tactics.


Who You'll Work with


Network Security Architect Engineers for Portugal region - solving our customer security needs by creating state of the art network security solutions.


Lead technical resource in the country to support our Security sales in Portugal.


You will be working closely with in-country Sales and Partner teams and Global Security Sales organization. The role requires strong technical security knowledge, communication & influencing skills and ability to collaborate with partners, account managers, sales specialists and business units.

 

We expect a strong relationship and influencing capabilities to drive Public Sector Security awareness and work with Cisco trust office to position Cisco as Government Cybersecurity advisor. 



Who You Are


  • You will bring several years of experience managing and winning technical and high value IT security projects
  • Excellent presentation skills and commercial communication skills at all levels
  • Degree or equivalent technical qualification
  • Experience in a networking or IT security role (consultant, instructor or systems engineer)
  • Good market and technical awareness (principal network security issues)
  • Good command line experience with Unix/Linux systems, low-layer (packet level) IP networking and have a thorough understanding of network security
  • High communication and presentation skills.
  • Must be flexible and willing to travel extensively throughout the country, plus less frequent trips to the US and Europe.
  • Highly motivated self starter that does not need day-to-day management
  • Languages: Portuguese & English
  • The holder of, or capable of holding, entry visas for business travel for any country in the region, Europe and the US.
