Semiconductor Technologist

What You'll Do

You will be responsible for the development, qualification and manufacturing of advanced semiconductor process technologies for Cisco’s ASIC portfolio. You are expected to be a Cisco resident technical expert for semiconductor device architectures and process technologies. You will partner with semiconductor foundries, Cisco development engineers, commodity teams and suppliers/partners to develop devices and processes to meet Cisco requirements. You will own the technology assessment, qualification and sustaining of advanced process technologies, define DfR/DfM requirements to enable flawless qualification and ramp of Cisco semiconductor products, collaborate with semiconductor foundries and Cisco Engineering to develop yield models and drive understanding and resolution of key yield limiters.

Who You'll Work With

You will be a member of the CQT Silicon Technology Engineering team and collaborate with multiple Engineering and Business teams to drive key decisions.

Who You Are

You will have 5+ years of recent experience in advanced CMOS process technology, semiconductor foundry management, device engineering and reliability engineering.

  • You have knowledge of semiconductor components and modules: design, fabrication, characterization, qualification, testing, quality, reliability, failure analysis
  • You have good fundamentals in Device Physics, Circuit Design and Logic Design
  • You have familiarity with Semiconductor Suppliers: Roadmaps, qualifications, process changes, industry and market drivers, etc
  • You are able to perform design of experiment, root cause analysis and resolve problems on a conceptual and advanced troubleshooting level
  • You have familiarity with Quality Management Systems, ERP tools, FMEA methodology, statistical analysis, etc
  • Strong teamwork & collaboration skills.
  • Excellent problem solving & effective conflict resolution skills.
  • Effective multi-functional communication, presentation and interpersonal Skills
  • Collaborate with internal and external executives via executive summaries and project status overviews
  • Typically requires MSEE or equivalent.
