Position Title: Senior Actuarial Associate

TITLE:            Senior Actuarial Associate (The Prudential Insurance Company of America – Newark, NJ)
DUTIES:         Responsible for creating, developing, and researching financial models to support various functions of the individual annuities business. Assist in valuation, planning and forecast, asset liability management, asset adequacy testing, capital planning and analysis. Determine crediting rate for the fixed annuity business. Maintain existing models; develop models for new initiatives; convert existing models to a new platform. Test impacts of new assumptions. Collaborate with Corporate Model Governance and the Model Risk and Model Governance teams as new standards are developed. Document changes to the models. Support Asset Adequacy Testing (AAT). Interact with cross functional teams and drive direction of project based work for team. Perform ad hoc research and development.

REQTS:          Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Mathematics, or a related field plus three (3) years of experience in the position offeredor as a Actuarial Analyst or related position. Must have three (3) years of experience with: modeling software, including MoSes; Risk Agility-FM; computer languages, including VBA, SQL, and C ;model validation including building replication tools; waterfall attribution analysis in explaining model results per model change; static and dynamic validation analysis; implementing model code change by utilizingbusiness specs; and model debugging to drill down and resolve model issues. Must have completed five (5) Associate of the Societyof Actuaries (ASA) preliminary exams.
