Description:

Information Technology (IT) Procurement is a centralized group within Prudential’s Global Business and Technology Solutions’ group responsible for the management and oversight of IT contract negotiations, IT procurement, IT consultant requisitions and contracting, invoice reconciliation, and IT RFP process and distribution. The group manages Enterprise-wide contracts across technology commodities.

 

Invoice Reconciliation is responsible for reconciling IT commodity invoices (orders, contracts, inventory, etc.), feeding approved invoices to Accounts Payable, resolving any discrepancies prior to processing payments to the vendors, charging the expenses appropriately within Prudential and in line with GAAP account rules, and preparing various reports.  The team is responsible for all IT consulting, hardware, software, maintenance, lease, wireless, voice, and data invoices. They are also responsible for information technology commodity invoices for Japan and Ireland, and manage the aging and relationships with vendor invoices.

Position Summary:  The Invoice Reconciliation Team is seeking a highly motivated professional with strong organizational, financial and analytical skills.  This successful candidate will support the Invoice Reconciliation Teams efforts to automate existing functions and enhance reporting which includes strategic analysis for senior management on vendor spend reporting and trending.   This candidate will need to partner effectively across the IT Procurement Department and various areas of GBTS as well as other business units within the enterprise.

Responsibilities:

·         Partner with team members to automate and redesign current reconciliation processes and reporting

·         Provide various ad – hoc vendor spend reports and analysis for senior management

·         Participate on various process improvement   teams within the group in an effort to streamline functions.

·         Review vendor invoices daily and set them up for payment

·         Monitor and correct feed errors in EAF/Oracle

·         Work with vendors and business units to resolve invoicing errors/issues.

·         Set up vendors in Oracle and work closely with the Accounts Payable on day to day issues

·         Meet with vendors and monitor invoice aged reports regularly to keep accounts up to date

·         Analyze invoices each month to understand and explain variance from month to month

 

 


·         Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance

·         Required Years of Experience 3 to 5 years

·         Ability to demonstrate a high degree of initiative and ability to work independently

·         Excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills for interaction with Prudential associate and vendors.

·         Strong problem solving, analytical and math skills

·         Strong team player

·         Strong ability to multi-task

·         Excellent MS excel skills

·         Oracle Financial knowledge a plus

·         Telecommunication billing knowledge a plus
