Position Description:

The Senior Analyst, Pro Pricing Strategy will support the development of customer segmentation based pricing strategies to grow share of wallet with our Pro customers. The Senior Analyst will advise merchants and sales associates on available pricing levers to gain share, designing and executing price tests to validate hypotheses. The Senior Analyst will support corporate level pricing initiatives and should be an advocate for implementing pricing best practices throughout their programs.

50% Design, implement and measure pricing actions to understand the trade-off between units, sales and gross margin. Utilize learnings to help merchants reach financial objectives
20% Conduct research to become subject matter expert on a specific segment of pricing and statistical analysis
10% Work across the organization and leverage cross functional teams to provide expert analytical support (i.e. domestic logistics or global supply chain costs
20% Develop and deliver influential presentations that summarize complex analyses and drive effective business decisions
This position reports to Manager Pricing.
This position has 0 direct reports.
Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
Additional Environmental Job Requirements:

Must be eighteen years of age or older.
Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
Additional Minimum Qualifications:

Education Required:
The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.
Years of Relevant Work Experience: 4 years
Physical Requirements:
Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
Additional Qualifications:

Preferred Qualifications:

-Prior experience in retail Pricing 
-Prior experience in merchandising, planning and analysis 
-Proficient with Microsoft Access, Excel and PowerPoint 
-Strong analytical skills including demonstrated aptitude with financial analysis and ability to generate insight from large and complex data sets 
-Strong communication skills including the ability to effectively articulate viewpoint to executive leadership and ability to write compelling executive level presentations 
-Strong project management skills and ability to effectively handle multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously 
-Strong financial acumen including experience with the retail and cost methods of accounting
-Ability to partner with cross-functional teams at all levels across a complex organization
-Ability to get results despite a large workload, competing demands and working in a fast paced environment
-Ability to effectively prioritize multiple demands, adjust to change quickly and work constructively under pressure
-Ability to structure nebulous projects and to work constructively under tight deadlines
-Ability to influence peers and business partners without authority

 Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies:

Ability to learn very quickly and independently

Proven ability to analyze, evaluate and interpret complex data
Strong communication skills: verbal and written
Proficient with PowerPoint, Excel, Access and other statistical software or pricing packages (i.e. SAS, Minitab, DemandTec)
