Position Summary

We are seeking a Senior Application Development Consultant for our Eden Prairie, MN location to technically lead development project teams to design, develop and deploy ETL software needed to support a variety of business needs. The position will report to a resource manager, but will be matrixed to project managers for completion of project activity. This role is expected to lead both onsite and offshore teams with full accountability for delivery and meeting client commitments.  Other duties include: ODI development. Using PL/SQL. Performance tuning and using partitioning strategies. Designing, building, and supporting data integrations with ETL Technology and BI Applications. Relational database modeling (Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, Netezza). Responsible for performance tuning and partitioning strategies.  Research, evaluate, identify alternative approaches to support development needs. Engage with Internal clients to clearly understand and document technical requirements. Build and design data warehouse modules and data marts. Create Architecture diagram and provide end to end solution. Provide technical over sight to multiple development initiatives. Lead Datastage ETL development projects of varying complexity using ETL tools like IBM Datastage and Informatica. Support, train and mentor fellow analysts and developers. Works with minimal guidance; seeks guidance on only the most complex tasks. Conduct technical trainings to broader technical audience. Use Topology, Knowledge Modules, Change Data Capture, Metadata, Web Services.


  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field.
  • 5 years related progressive, post-baccalaureate experience. Will accept experience gained concurrently.
  • Must have 12 months demonstrated experience with each of the following: 1) ODI development experience; 2) Experience with ETL tools including IBM Datastage and Informatica; 3) Experience designing, building, and supporting data integrations with ETL Technology and BI Applications; 4) Experience with building and designing data warehouse modules and data marts; and 5) Experience with relational database modeling and development (Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, Netezza) and experience in performance tuning and partitioning strategies.
