Description:
TITLE:            Senior Associate (The Prudential Insurance Company of America – Newark, NJ)
 
DUTIES:         Responsible for traditional M&A activities (mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures) as related to investment banking and financial analysis. Develop the valuation for potential acquisitions and divestitures. Model pro forma scenarios associated with potential acquisitions, divestitures and restructuring transactions. Perform cash flow and return analysis. Work with legal and tax counsel to structure transactions, and draft proposals. Conduct and coordinate due diligence. Work within GAAP, and Statutory accounting and capital frameworks. Source and research prospective acquisition candidates and present findings to senior management. Use financial databases including Capital IQ, and SNL Financial. Work in Virtual Datarooms including Intralinks and Merril. Monitor macro economy and the capital markets developments, which also includes input from PIM asset management units, investment banks, and external asset managers. Conduct and coordinate due diligence. Build detailed valuation models. Use market information to formulate investment view.

REQTS:          Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Finance, Investment, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field plus five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered, or as an Associate, Structured Credit Trading; Analyst, Investment Banking; Valuation Analyst, Investment Banking; or a related position. Must have five (5) years of progressively responsible investment banking and financial analysis experience with: Modeling pro forma scenarios associated with potential acquisitions, divestitures and restructuring transactions; Performing cash flow and return analysis; GAAP, and Statutory accounting and capital frameworks; Using financial databases including Capital IQ and SNL Financial; Virtual Datarooms including Intralinks and Merril; Working with legal and tax counsel to structure transactions, and draft proposals; Conducting and coordinating due diligence; and Building detailed valuation models. In the alternative, the employer will accept a Master's degree or foreign equivalent plus three (3) years of experience. Any suitable combination of education, training, or experience is acceptable.
