We are looking for someone that can mature the DevOps mindset within the agile teams using techniques such as Acceptance Test Driven Development, Continuous Integration, and Continuous Delivery to provide quality products with seamless integration across Development, Quality Assurance, Infrastructure, Operations, and Release Management roles.
 
In this role the ideal candidate will develop source code and tooling to aid in the development and operations of Big Data environments (DevOps). This includes dealing with performance, compliance, business continuity and disaster recovery.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Perform all phases of software engineering including requirements analysis, design, development and testing of CI/CD pipelines
  • Design and implement product features in collaboration with business and IT stakeholders
  • Design reusable components, frameworks and libraries
  • Work very closely with architecture groups and drive solutions
  • Participate in an Agile/Scrum methodology to deliver high-quality software releases every 2 weeks through Sprints
  • Design and develop innovative solutions to meet the needs of the business
  • Review code and provide feedback relative to best practices and improving performance
  • Mentor and guide other DevOps engineers within the team
  • Configuration and deployment automation (with tools such as Chef, Puppet, Ansible, Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.)
Required Qualifications:
  • 3+ years IT Infrastructure management and support (DevOps) experience mainly in a UNIX / Linux environment
  • Experience with at least 1 scripting language such as Perl, Python or PowerShell
  • Experience troubleshooting complex infrastructure problems in an enterprise environment
  • Knowledge and understanding of network theory, such as different protocols (TCP / IP, UDP, ICMP, etc.), MAC addresses, IP packets, DNS, OSI layers, and load balancing)
  • Experience using Jenkins, Drone, Ansible, Chef, Puppet or another tool to build CI/CD pipelines and/or other automation
  • Experience implementing monitoring and alerting solutions for production applications
  • Familiarity with Agile processes (Kanban, SCRUM, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working on Big Data solutions
  • Experience in the healthcare industry
  • Professional experience in cloud application development
  • BS degree; engineering/quantitative field
  • Using and maintaining version control systems (Git, SVN, etc.)
  • Experience with Docker
