She / he will conduct complex analyses on large data sets to identify vendor value enhancement opportunities and partner with the merchandising and other cross-functional teams to ensure alignment. (role will be based in San Bruno, CA)


Leads Cost Analytics (vendor negotiation) projects across all WMT International markets, for brick & mortar and eCommerce businesses

Analyzes complex and large data sets across multiple product categories business results, information related to product performance, trends, forecasts, competitors, and industry data

Identifies opportunities to negotiate lower net cost across a wide range of products and with complex vendor implications

Supports the development of vendor negotiation strategies to capture identified opportunity

Partners with the merchandising team to enable lower cost negotiation providing the relevant supporting data and negotiation tactics

Drives alignment across multiple cross-functional teams finance, technology, supply chain, marketing, gather the relevant data & insights and ensures alignment

Promotes and supports company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity and ensures business needs are being metMinimum Qualifications: 5+ years of experience, of which 2+ years of experience in a top tier management consulting firm

Graduate degree in MBA, Statistics, Math, or Economics

Strong analytical skills creative problem solver that can run analyses on large data sets, build complex analytical models using sources of information from disparate sources and deliver comprehensive, balanced & actionable analysis

Strong oral and written communication skills including the ability to develop and deliver presentations in a professional and direct manner

Expert in Microsoft Excel and PowerPointAdditional Preferred Qualifications: Proven ability to effectively build and manage relationships, interact at all levels within the organization and across multiple functions

Advanced knowledge of querying, integrating and aggregating large data sets
