Senior Category Manager Social Beverages (Temporary Assignment)

Are you now available for a temporary project for a minimum of 3 months? Do you have proven experience in FMCG as Category manager. Then maybe we are the candidate we are looking for.
What does the function involve?

  • Market/Channel/Shopper/Category Insights: Assess and report short term and long term trends. Highlight key drivers for category development. Analyse competition & Pi brands risk. Build Category Growth opportunities (4P’s) and Forecast. Understand OOH channel next to OT channel. Understand Proximity, Hard Discount and Convenience stores next to Supermarkets, Hypermarkets and Cash&Carry. Actively work together with external research agencies (eg: Nielsen – GFK – Retail Inisghts – ad hoc merchandising agencies - other ad hoc shopper research agencies) or customer’s tools to develop new types of relevant category insights in order to evaluate and build a clear category vision to define growth opportunities (Ot & DTS).
  • Identify and Discuss the marketing brands opportunities linked to the category vision & strategy (= support & challenger role for innovation agenda & brand development)
  • Develop new category concepts to secure LT category growth (be innovative)
  • Profitability: Control the Customers profitability of the category for PepsiCo & Key customer. Analyze Risks and Opportunities. Optimise the promo strategy and develop sustainable promo guidelines together with the revenue manager, in line with the categories and brands strategies
  • Provide monitoring tools for sales, marketing & category development department and manage scorecards with all KPI’s (Market Performance, consumer/shopper performance, brands performance, Space, Assortment, Promotion, OOS, NPD’s, secondary location, visibility, in POS execution…) (internal & customer scorecards). Improve existing information systems (eg: Promo tools – Retailer scorecards – category drivers – consumer/shopper insights ..).

Qualifications/Requirements

  • You are now or very soon available for a temporary project
  • You have at least 10 years of experience within FMCG and several years as Category lead
  • You are open, communicative
  • you know how to work within a matrix structure
