This position manages and coordinates plan-wide efforts to ensure that all PIP and NCQA HEDIS programs are developed and maintained using a data-driven focus that sets priorities for improvements aligned to ongoing strategic imperatives. Develops and communicates the strategic vision, scope and mission of all PIP and NCQA HEDIS initiatives.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Builds, directs, manages, and ensures implementation and effectiveness of PIP and NCQA HEDIS processes that lead to a positive and measurable impact on member health outcomes
  • Researches and designs appropriate plan-wide PIP training
  • Establishes a continuous PIP and NCQA HEDIS effort and monitoring and reporting system
  • Ensure relevancy and application to day to day operations
  • Regularly (monthly or more often as required) reports the status of PIP and NCQA HEDIS efforts and impacts, and communicates timely all plan, regional, national, and state-mandated deliverables associated with the same
  • Collaborates on the design of the information technology infrastructure required to support PIP and NCQA HEDIS initiatives
  • Ensures needed data is collected on a timely basis, regular reports on progress are distributed, and makes recommendations for future improvements based on the data
  • Participates in a national network of performance improvement professionals, sharing best practices, tools and materials while participating in ongoing communication activities and capacity-building peer

  • Searches out best performance and quality improvement practices, making the plan aware of them and suggesting areas where they could be implemented
  • Actively participates in the plan quality committee (QMC) by serving as a member and standing agenda item presenter regarding PIP and NCQA HEDIS initiatives
  • Develops and implements a plan-wide communication plan of all PIP and NCQA HEDIS activities, and develops and implements a recognition program for PIP Workgroup Improvement Teams
  • Other duties and projects as assigned
