Primary Responsibilities:
  • Serve as a resource or Subject Matter Expert (SME) for other team members or internal customers to help identify and resolve issues
  • Interact with insurance providers gathering support data to ensure invoice accuracy and work through specific collection discrepancies
  • Provide input to policies, systems, methods, and procedures for the effective management and control of the premium collection function
  • Monitor outstanding balances and take appropriate actions to ensure claims are paid as billed
  • Manage the preparation of invoices and complete reconciliation of collections with accounts receivables
  • May also include quality assurance and audit of collections activities
  • This function is responsible for Medi-Cal Managed Care and ancillary product premium collections
  • Moderate work experience within own function
  • Some work is completed without established procedures
  • Basic tasks are completed without review by others
  • Supervision / guidance is required for higher level tasks
