Description

Cox Automotive is hiring a Senior Compensation Analyst to participate in the development, implementation, and administration of compensation programs, policies and procedures.   The senior analyst provides analytical support for various compensation activities and programs.  He will interpret internal and external data to ensure Cox Automotive’s desired position in the market and overall compensation objectives are achieved, including the ability to attract and retain talent. He will work on a variety of special projects that may include pay administration, bonus administration and long term incentives and assist Compensation Managers with on-going compensation related projects, presentation & communication materials.  Projects may also involve revision, development and/or re-design of existing compensation programs.  The position may also be responsible for supporting the strategy, design, policies and guidelines.


Responsibilities:
  • Provide guidance to the business and develop creative solutions on a variety of total compensation issues including the setting of appropriate pay levels, base pay, annual incentive pay, local bonus plans and Long term incentive program.
  • Assist in administering Cox Automotive annual long-term incentive process including the discretionary LTIP award process.
  • Participates in the analysis, development, design, communication and implementation of compensation programs including, salary structures, annual salary review process and job evaluation.
  • Track compensation metrics for respective client groups on annual pay planning process. Interpret metrics into meaningful output and provides recommendations for action.
  • Conduct various annual reviews including, internal equity, merit movement, comp-ratio and other metrics for analyses as needed.
  • Provides guidance consultation and education to HR Business Partners on all matters of compensation (e.g. internal and external equity issues, base pay, long/short term incentives, other rewards).
  • Assist in the creation and documentation of standardized compensation processes.
  • Works on variety of project and provide analysis on any component of total direct compensation.
  • Support job classification through job evaluation and calibration cross the enterprise to ensure grade alignment per the career architecture leveling guide.
  • Complete market analytics to identify compensation anomalies in how Cox Automotive compares to market data.
  • Analyze data and prepare presentation for senior leadership.
  • Ensures all compensation programs are compliant with federal and state applicable laws and meeting organizational business objectives.
  • May perform other initiatives as assigned by department leadership.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Human Resource Management or equivalent compensation experience.   
  • Minimum of 5 years directly related experience with an analytical acumen, preferably in Compensation.
  • Complete understanding of compensation principles, concepts, and practices including compliance with state and federal laws.
  • Strong qualitative and analytical skills including manipulating data, querying, and reporting required. Includes ability to analyze and research compensation trends and partner with appropriate internal and external resources.
  • Builds and maintains strong working relationships with HR Business Partners.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and data privacy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft suite, including Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word
  • Systems experience including, reporting and data management within a database system, e.g., People Soft Kenexa etc.
