Prudential Advertising is a unique award-winning full-service branding & advertising agency within Prudential, established in 1996 and consisting of over 80 employees. The agency handles all advertising, including creative development, strategy, production, trafficking, and buying/planning of all media formats (broadcast, print, OOH, digital, and social) for Prudential's brand and individual business units.

Reporting to the Creative Director, the Senior Copywriter is responsible for overall copywriting activities in accordance with strategic goals of the brand, the organization and its various business units. Must be versatile with conceptually strong writing skills. Experienced in creating branded content for traditional, digital and social media, online video, web, tools and brand experience, both B2B and consumer. Ability to write sharp, engaging headlines and compelling copy, from a video script, a billboard, a tweet to long form.


Roles and Requirements:

  • Collaborate with Strategy and Media in the development of ideas.
  • Craft copy for use in social media and other emerging media opportunities.
  • Learn and internalize Prudential brand guidelines and visual standards.
  • Drive processes that foster idea generation with a media-neutral mindset. 

  • BA, BS or BFA (Graphic Design, Digital Design or similar) degree from an accredited university/college.

  • 7 years of copywriting experience; advertising agency experience preferred.

  • Demonstrated conceptual ability in digital and offline channels.

  • Ability to differentiate between an idea and an execution.

  • Ability to collaborate across various internal teams and external partners. - Knowledge of financial services and products preferred.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Office suite.

  • Highly detail oriented.

  • Sound editorial judgment.

  • Clear, concise and confident verbal communication skills.

  • Intellectual curiosity and a team-oriented, collaborative spirit.

  • Online portfolio demonstrating conceptual strength and skills in all media required.
