What You'll Do?

As a Senior Network Load Balancer Engineer you will be responsible but not limited to the following tasks;

Responsible for working on networking projects including network design, installation, configuration, troubleshooting and the development of network automation for the Cisco WebEx network and data center infrastructures.
You will identify redundant data center networking processes to develop automation/orchestration for network elements including firewalls, Nexus switches and load balancers (Citirx NetScalers) using Python.
Assist with the migration of Cisco ACE load balancers to Citrix Netscaler
Initial point of contact for network production issues specifically for load balancers (Netsalers)
Proactively monitor the network and ensure the highest possible levels of performance and availability.
Partner with cross functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve incidents and customer cases.
Production Acceptance of new deployment (e.g. hardware, circuits, etc).
Must be able to work weekend on-call rotation.

Cisco seeks a Senior Network Engineer to join the Cloud Collaboration Technology Group and assist the Network Operations team in maximizing network availability and functionality to achieve our business goals. The Network Engineer is responsible for the design, deployment and sustaining processes required to provide carrier class network services to our customers. In this role, you will be working in a fast-paced, high-impact environment as a visible contributor delivering on our commitments. The ideal candidate is a creative problem solver, comfortable with providing subject matter expertise and rapidly responding to escalated issues. 

Who You Are?

Candidates must be a US citizen.
Typically requires BS, CS, or equivalent plus 10+ years of progressive experience with strong expertise in LAN/WAN network design, configuration, deployment and operation support.
Must have hands-on experience in scripting languages (Python, etc) to automate repeated network operations procedures.
Must have in-depth experience with designing, installing, configuring and supporting load balancers specifically Citrix Netscalers
Must have strong expertise troubleshooting experiences in at least TWO or more of the following networking technologies;

o Stateful firewalls
o IP Internetworking
o Data Center Switching (Ex: Nexus, N9k, N7k, NX-OS, Catalyst, Brocade, Juniper)
o WAN circuits and protocols (Ethernet, MPLS). 
o Dynamic IP Routing protocols (OSPF, ISIS, BGP, PIM Multicast). 
o Expertise in AS connectivity (eBGP, MPLS) 
o Virtualization technologies, both networking (VRF, VDC, Nexus1kv) and compute (VMware, Openstack)
