Overview:
 
Prudential is seeking an experienced data acquisition and integration developer having hands on experience with Hadoop/HDFS, Sqoop, Kafka, Hive/Impala, MongoDB, Python, Shell Scripting, SQL etc. It is an amazing opportunity for individuals who want to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
 
Job Responsibilities:
  • Code and build a scalable data acquisition and integration framework
  • Technical evaluation for applications assigned
  • Participates in collaborative working environment using the agile methodology
  • Keep abreast of new technological innovations
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to business and vendor partners.
  • Performs related duties as assigned or requested.

Qualification:
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Experience coding Python, Shell Scripting, SQL
  • Experience developing scalable production ready frameworks
    • Familiarity with deployment and monitoring of applications/frameworks on Linux
  • Experience working with non-relational databases, specifically Hadoop and MongoDB
  • Understanding of algorithms, data structures, and software design fundamentals
  • Experience with Linux development environments
  • Knowledge of DevOps principles and methodologies
  • Knowledge of BitBucket/Git
  • Knowledge of AWS and other cloud implementations
  • TDD based development mindset
  • Business and technical background in the Insurance or Financial Service industry a plus.
  • Must be willing to learn, grow and have fun.
