Senior Director - America's Architectural Sales Solutions – Enterprise Networking

What You'll Do

As the Senior Director of Americas Enterprise Networking Sales Acceleration, you will be responsible for leading Enterprise Networking products and solutions acceleration in the Americas, as well as shaping the overall Enterprise Networking GTM strategy in the Americas. In this capacity you will collaborate with the Americas Segment and World Wide Enterprise Networking teams to create a solid business plan which covers sales enablement, competitive selling, market share growth, product launches, refresh, and innovation acceleration for our customers, partners and sales teams.  You will join a team of highly talented and results-oriented Architecture Sales Leaders who help shape success for the Americas as well as Cisco as whole.

Position Role & Responsibilities

  • Define sales strategy; plan, develop, and manage the landscape of the Enterprise Networking Products & Solutions, while executing Cisco's strategy and meeting financial targets. Products & Solutions include Enterprise Routing, Enterprise Switching, Enterprise Wireless and Meraki.  You will work closely with sales leaders on advancing key initiatives such as ‘The Network.  Intuitive.’, DNA, SDA, and the acceleration of new and incubation technologies.
  • Collaborate on the business planning process; ensure close interaction with World Wide peers, Segment Enterprise Networking leads and SVP’s, and Account teams on all aspects of running the Enterprise Networking business for the Americas.
  • Engage with customers and Partners in both Executive Sponsorship roles as well as on an as-needed basis.
  • Build partnerships within Cisco as well as externally; have regular dialogue with regional and Geo teams to ensure buy-in with the go-to-market and sales solution strategy overall.
  • Act as a primary liaison for Americas Enterprise Networking via communications with Cisco’s senior leadership team, technology groups, marketing, services, finance, partners, and customers.
  • Assist with defining opportunities and risks associated with architecture-specific acquisitions
  • Define architecture sales initiatives and plays; drive alignment with segment sales teams, business units, channels and key executive stakeholders.
  • Define strategy, policy and standards for sales compensation, organizational and headcount, and operational investments for the team.
  • Provide reporting, insight and visibility to performance metrics including bookings, growth, pipeline, attach rates, etc. across all theaters specific to Enterprise Networking business.


Who You Will Work With

The Enterprise Networking business is a key growth area for Cisco. This role is ultimately responsible for the Go to Market strategy and growth for our Enterprise Networking products and solutions across customers in the Americas. The successful candidate will be required to work closely with the World Wide peers, Meraki peers, internal account teams, Enterprise Networking Architecture Sales teams, and our partners.


Your Background

  • 10+ years of Enterprise Networking solutions experience in an IT sales organization that includes selling products such as routing, wireless, switching, cloud technologies and software.  15+ years’ experience working in the technology industry.
  • Experience in strategic sales planning, execution, and policy development.  Exposure to business theory, business processes, management, budgeting, and business operations.
  • In depth understanding of Enterprise Networking industry trends and evolution.  Strong understanding of Enterprise Networking market trends and challenges.
  • Solid understanding of key Cisco competitors in the Enterprise Networking environment.
  • Experience in working in teams to achieve both individual and group success.
  • Experience in working across various segments of the Americas market; previous experience as Senior Director in a complex, highly matrixed environment; able to manage diverse team of direct and indirect reports.
