Description The Financial Reporting Initiative (FRI) Program is a global Pfizer initiative tasked with the primary objective of delivering segmented balance sheet results in order to support the external reporting disclosures associated with Pfizer's business units: Pfizer Essential Health and Pfizer Innovative Health, comprised of the legacy Global Innovative Pharma (GIP), Global Vaccines, Oncology and Consumer businesses. The initiative also generates the financial information necessary to support strategic decision making by segmenting and collecting financial statement data for the income statement and cash flows.



The Global FRI CoE Lead will report to the VP of Shared Services in Memphis and lead a high-performing global team of Pfizer colleagues and external consultants across key functional areas (e.g., GFS, Commercial Finance, BT, PGS, Controllers) to support the pursuit & execution of program activities. The Global FRI CoE lead will be responsible for overseeing five primary sub-workstreams which focus on global segmentation, analytics & reporting, non-working capital (WC) segmentation, End to End (E2E) Contemporaneous Data Collection (CDC) HFM and master data maintenance and global communications.



To support the global segmentation process, the Global FRI CoE Lead will collaborate cross-functionally within GFS, and engage BT, PGS, Commercial Finance, Controllers, Tax, Treasury, external audit and others, as necessary, to drive the timely creation of program deliverables, achieve program objectives, and ensure CoE responsibilities are fulfilled while considering the on-going activities and initiatives of Pfizer as a whole in support of the OnePfizer mentality.



**RESPONSIBILITIES:**



+ Global owner for FRI program serving as the single point of accountability for delivery of program objectives including the review and accuracy of segmentation results to support external disclosure commitments

+ Maintain connectivity and transparency with steering committee, project sponsors and key stakeholders through regular progress updates and engagement

+ Proactively monitor cross-functional initiatives that impact people, processes and technology to ensure alignment, maintain agility and mitigate disruption to the program through frequent communication with business partners including Pfizer leadership, Finance Advisory Counsel, cross functional stakeholders including Technical Accounting and external advisors (i.e. KPMG)

+ Identify required changes or improvements for events (i.e. continuous improvement opportunities, business development activities, and organizational initiatives) that impact people, processes and technology and provide strategic recommendations & solutions to leadership to prepare for and address identified impacts

+ Oversee sub-workstream activities and engage in regular touchpoints to drive accountability and ensure adherence to program objective and milestones

+ Create a culture focused on continuous improvement to evolve and enhance the program and monitor execution of improvement initiatives

+ Work with relevant stakeholders, including functional leadership, process owners, operational management, and other stakeholders at the global and regional levels as appropriate

+ Support business development activities that require segmented financial statement information

+ Anticipate changes to Pfizer's ERP environment and oversee the alignment of CDC to Pfizer's ERP systems

+ Oversee the budget management process and engage with supporting functions and external advisors in accordance with procurement policies

+ Lead the maintenance of an effective internal control structure ensuring compliance with Pfizer policy and US GAAP, while proactively managing existing and new risks

+ Lead and/or sponsor site, organization and/or critical transformational initiatives



**QUALIFICATIONS:**



+ BS Degree or equivalent in Accounting, Finance, Business Management or other business related field required

+ CPA required, MBA and public accounting experience preferred

+ Minimum 15 years' experience of general accounting or finance experience required in a Corporate Finance, Shared Service, or Public Accounting environment with direct oversight over working teams; transaction / carve-out accounting and finance experience preferred

+ Experience working across multiple levels (including executive level), functions and regions; Strong understanding of Pfizer financial processes; systems related experience a strong plus

+ Prior experience with Carve-out Financial Statement preparation and methodology a strong plus.

+ Demonstrated experience managing accounting and reporting teams in a complex and global environment

+ Strong business acumen and professionalism with the ability to interact effectively with colleagues in all functional areas of the Company

+ Ability to work in a high-performing team environment
