**Role Summary**

The Real World Data & Analytics (RWDnA) Client Partners & Analytical Science Liaisons group is an internal, client-facing advisory services function that works closely with business units to thoroughly understand the business priorities and opportunities/challenges as well as the Patient & Health Impact (PHI) strategy and tactics and utilize RWDnA capabilities to address business opportunities proactively. They will work with each business unit to develop a real world data (RWD) strategy that is specific to the therapeutic area. They will also design and execute advanced analytic studies in collaboration with the RWDnA team and external partners. More specifically, they will:

+ Be aligned to a specific business unit/therapeutic area and become a strategic partner for pipeline, launches and inline;

+ Identify strategic opportunities and innovative solutions and develop business cases to leverage RWD;

+ Partner closely with HEOR teams, Market Access, Medical Affairs, and the Research Unit to examine RWD needs; immerse in x-FU asset team discussions aligned with priorities; and

+ Lead educational efforts with Pfizer' global functions on appropriate RWD use to meet their business needs - scoping projects and working with other members in the RWD function to enable appropriate project execution.

The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in real world data analytics and/or health informatics, knowledge of outcomes research methods and full understanding of the evolving health care and payer environment in US and ex-US markets, health technology assessment needs, and the demands of external payer customers.

This role will support the Internal Medicine and Consumer Health business units, and requires someone with strong strategic thinking, leadership, communication and people management skills.

This role will report directly to the Vice President, Real World Data & Analytics, based in NYHQ.

**Role Responsibilities**

+ Provide expert consultation on all aspects of internal RWD database studies/analyses including objectives, study design, data source identification, protocol development, statistical analysis, and/or interpretation;

+ Responsible for the development and implementation of a business unit (BU)-level RWD strategic plan in collaboration with their HEOR business-facing partners;

+ Forms strong partnerships with HEOR teams to interface with business unit colleagues including medical affairs, the research unit, market access and others in understanding RWD analysis needs and priorities, and comes up with plans to execute RWD projects based on those needs;

+ Acts as a Liaison for Real World Data & Analytics Center of Excellence across Pfizer;

+ Contribute to the development and implementation of an enterprise real world data strategy at Pfizer;

+ Establish and maintain a BU-level RWD governance structure;

+ Build effective working relationships with business unit leads and medical affairs team leads to ensure that real world data strategy and plan fully reflect stakeholder requirements;

+ Develop a deep understanding of the evidence needs and ensure delivery of RWD programs that are responsive and strongly supportive of the value evidence strategy;

+ Ability to explain strengths and limitations of real world datasets - such as electronic health records, claims, clinical data registries, patient generated health data, and other health data sources - in context of designing real-world data study designs;

+ Ensure high quality, readily interpretable deliverables (e.g. data tables, graphs, charts, study reports) are generated fro internal RWD studies/analyses;

+ Contribute to the continuing education of relevant line functions on the use of RWD;

+ Publication and presentation of RWD projects at internal meetings, and external industry conference/workshops;

+ Develop effective relationships with external thought leaders in RWD/RWE, comparative effectiveness research, health informatics, and data sciences so as to maintain an extensive understanding of external environment, create opportunities for engagement, and to establish Pfizer as a leader in the field.


Technical Skills & Experience

+ PhD, MD, or PharmD strongly preferred;

+ 7+ years of experience in related discipline;

+ Extensive track record and experience in observational and real-world data studies;

+ Ability to seamlessly interact on both business and scientific issues;

+ Demonstrated depth of understanding of observational research methods, HTA, comparative effectiveness research, health care and data science trends, and ability to leverage health outcomes and data science expertise to meet evolving business needs;

+ Evidence of technical expertise of applying RWD evidence and insights at the therapy/product level;

+ Extensive track record interacting with R&D and commercial organizations in pharmaceutical industry;
