Senior Facilities Manager
Position Description Responsible for managing all facilities services for plant in Western Canada. The successful candidate will manage an onsite and 3rd party team delivering multiple services across the location including. Janitorial services, HVAC, Elevators, Landscaping, Snow removal, Industrial cleaning, fire systems, waste disposal, uniforms, pest control, Cranes and Hoists, plumbing, maintenance, sire systems, water, vending services, and others TBC. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe delivery of these services while ensuring quality and consistency measures are met across the business. Management to KPI and Master scope will form a key part of the position. The role will require the development and delivery of long term success through building long term relationships with key stakeholders including on site senior management, 3rd party suppliers and direct reports.
Minimum requirements include 5-10 years of relevant experience managing multiple services. P&L management including budget setting. Health and safety management in an industrial setting. KPI and MSA management. Recognized facilities management qualifications and preferably a technical services trade.
Scope of Role Will manage onsite facilities operations for large plant in Western Canada. managing both on site team and 3rd party suppliers and contractors
Responsible for management of onsite services on a day to day basis
Recruitment and management of local team
Arranging and managing 3rd party contracts
Develop and be accountable for a safety culture that creates a work environment where no one gets hurt.
Create and develop relationship with Client (s).
Meeting financial targets and developing budgets
Meeting measurements within KPI and scope
Developing long term stakeholder relationships
Bachelors Degree in Facilities management or other related field or 5 to 10 years of management experience required.
Knowledge of hard and soft FM services with significant management experience in both areas
Ability to create space inventory and work order generation.
Experience managing in a unionized environment preferred.
Technical knowledge of facilities procedures, and project activities also required.
Experience overseeing skilled, semi-skilled and non-skilled personnel in a union and/or non-union environment is required.
Strong financial analysis is necessary.
P&L accountability and/or contract-managed service experience is highly desirable.
