Description

Summary:     

Provides analytical support for Cox Business (CB) planning/analysis, client support and field business operations functions to exceed CB financial and operational goals.   The position emphasizes partnership through analytical insights and recommendations.

Responsibilities:
  • Conducts reporting and analysis related to business operations and performance for local Cox Business markets and/or Atlanta based functions.
  • Creates business cases and IRR models to support investment requests; partners with managers and analysts in other departments to develop assumptions in business models.
  • Develops and modifies standard reporting, financial trackers, and analysis to quantify monthly spend for multiple projects and departments; reports on variances to budget.
  • Gathers, reviews, and analyzes data to solve business questions and/or problems; recommends and implements change.
  • Creates presentations for executive management.
  • Builds and updates models to conduct analysis on revenue metrics; determines opportunities for improved operational efficiencies.
  • Partners with key stakeholders to identify and assess risks and opportunities; provides guidance to adjust forecasts accordingly.
  • Performs ad hoc requests for financial analysis at multiple levels of complexity; works with business partners in CB market and/or ATL to understand needs.


Qualifications

Minimum:
  • 5 or more years of experience required in related field (i.e. Finance, Accounting, Business, etc.); OR 3 or more years of experience required if candidate possesses a related advanced degree.
  • Requires strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and Financial Reporting and Planning Systems (Sage, Hyperion, Essbase, TM1).
  • Excellent interpersonal, collaborative, and presentation skills to work effectively with teams throughout organization.
  • Advanced financial modeling and financial analysis skills.
  • Strong presentation skills. Excellent knowledge and ability to create and Present PowerPoint presentations.
 
Preferred:
  • BS/BA in related discipline strongly desired (i.e. Finance, Accounting, Business, etc.).
  • Experience in telecommunications industry desired.
  • Experience with driver-based planning models.
  • Experience leading cross-functional projects.
  • Experience in using Tableau.
