The Technician Capability Sr. Manager has responsibility to support the field fleet operations and ensure successful execution of the National Fleet Strategy and successful results in all Fleet KPMs and results with specific emphasis on front line technician efficiency, staffing and effectiveness

  • Lead the advancement of Capability in Fleet Operations across NAB.
  • Partner with key constituents to serve as field liaison to deliver a safe, reliable, low cost, and fuel efficient vehicle.
  • Develop and execute fleet leader and technician training
  • Work with the functional teams to ensure support solutions are in place for strategic plans
  • Deliver Field Financial Performance in Fleet Accounts (Fuel, Labor, R&M, Tires, Rentals)
  • Develop and execute plans to deliver the cost, quality, service, and reliability results set out in the annual Fleet AOP plan.
  • Lead and gain alignment with field teams to ensure fleet reliability, sustainability and efficiency
  • Lead in building region specific strategic plans to drive improved fleet performance.
  • Identify and lead actions to support field business challenges and opportunities.
  • Assist in the development of Technical and Non-technical capability training for the Field Team
  • Lead, direct and execute key projects (People, Process and Technology)
  • Become involved in the industry: Peer fleets, professional organizations, gov't and non-government organizations, trade associations, and academia to align with industry and bring best practices inside.
  • Other projects as assigned by manager


  • Demonstrated Change Management experience
  • Strong leadership skills including the management of direct reports as well as influencing skills with cross functional partners.
  • Excellent writing and analytical skills. Leadership skills including coaching, facilitation, presentation and team building with all levels of the organization.
  • Strong ability to influence cross functional teams
  • Project management, LSS, and Continuous improvement experience
  • Advanced experience in executing sustainability, reliability, and capability strategy within fleet operations
  • Critical thinking, strong analytical skills and data-based approach to decision making.
  • Effective interaction and partnership building skills with customers, sales and ops and external suppliers
  • Ability to travel to field locations and suppliers (50%)
  • Ability to integrate into the NAB Fleet Team and contribute to people and organizational development.
  • Understanding and demonstration of PepsiCo values and culture.
  • 5+ years of fleet industry experience
  • 10+ years of technical team leadership
  • Bachelor's degree, MBA or advanced degree a plus
  • Lean Six Sigma experience preferred
  • Advanced leadership and change management training
  • Compliance management experience DOT, EPA, OSHA.
  • Industry Partnership and Networking expertise.
  • Successful Cross Functional work experience in Operations or Finance
