As the Senior Health Care Economics Consultant, you will perform critical research and investigation of key business problems. Using phenomenal analytical skills, you will develop and improve quantitative data analytics and set performance targets for the enterprise. As a subject matter expert, you will interpret and analyze clinical data from various sources and recommend best approaches for its consolidation. Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develops comprehensive understanding of clinical programs being measured and improve quantitative data analytics

  • Works with variety of team to identify potential areas for medical cost improvements and alternative pricing strategies to drive clinical and financial performance of programs

  • Lead projects to completion by contributing to data mapping and transformation, statistical modeling and financial reports

  • Performs statistical and trend analyses to determine effectiveness of clinical programs (e.g. pre-post analysis, clinical trial results)

  • Collects, analyzes and performs quality assurance on analytic initiatives that consume data from multiple sources

  • Identify and implements consistent and sustainable analytic processes in order to track and measure program effectiveness

  • Provides consistent and timely communications on projects, outcome and recommendation from analyses

  • Partners with business leaders to develop effective clinical strategies  

This role is senior consultative role operating across OptumCare businesses, performing comprehensive research, managing program analytical portfolios, and identifying key business opportunities. In addition to analytics skills, strong candidates will have exceptional consultative and team-oriented skills.
