Senior Healthcare Provider Network Lead - Meridian, ID (738095)

Position Description

This Senior Provider Network Lead, Children’s Behavioral Health role with Optum will call on your knowledge, your energy and your commitment to making health care work more effectively for more people. In this role, you’ll be the lead for the Regional Network Managers and use your strong customer service orientation and analytical problem solving skills to serve as an advocate for providers in our networks. Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide lead support to Regional Network Managers in contracting and managing a network of behavioral physicians, clinicians and agencies

  • Act as a liaison to assist with timely resolution of operational issues

  • Identify areas of improvement to allow system changes and enhancements to improve the provider experience

  • Work directly with Compliance Manager to facilitate fulfilling network contract requirements

  • Monitor access issues and identify gaps for members in receiving services

  • Monitor provider activity to ensure continuity of care and contractual requirements

  • Manage multiple projects/priorities with short deadlines 

 

In this role, you’ll be part of a performance driven, fast paced organization that is serving multiple markets. You’ll have frequent interactions with senior management and physicians as you communicate about ways to evolve ongoing processes and programs.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma

  • 5+ years of health care / managed care experience

  • 3+ years of provider relations and/or provider network experience

  • Understanding and comfort with working in complex data systems (such as Provider Express, Facets, Cosmos, or other systems)

  • Intermediate level proficiency with MS Word, Excel

  • Ability to travel regionally occasionally 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree

  • Proficiency in claims processing and issue resolution

  • Experience with Medicaid regulations

  • Project management experience

  • Supervisory / lead experience
