Cluster 1 Integrated Medical Group (IMG) District Group Therapeutic Representative (GTR)The Medical Group Therapeutic Specialty Representative is a Senior Healthcare Representative who calls exclusively on carved out groups (e.g. medical groups, AMCs, LTC, IDS, DoD, VA, etc.) to achieve business potential.

The Senior Healthcare Representative can have a variety of responsibilities, ranging from calling on groups of institutions, to selling Pfizer's product portfolio to specialists or key physicians, to educating members of the healthcare community on the approved indications of Pfizer products. The SHR plays a critical role in increasing Pfizer's brand with high-value target customers by linking an insightful assessment of the account or business landscape to maximize return on investment and in alignment with RBU goals, and executing the strategy to deliver the desired results.

The Cluster 1 Integrated Medical Group District Group Therapeutic Representative (GTR) will have responsibilities that include gaining access to, calling on, and partnering with high valued clinicians and targets within the Sutter Health (IDN) system by educating clinicians, key targets, and various influencers and decision makers using the Customer Focus Selling Approach. In addition, this representative will also seek opportunities to compliantly gather customer and market insights. The GTR role is also involved in local market planning and implementation of key initiatives within these medical groups, and frequently collaborates and interfaces with Pfizer's Key Account Managers and Medical Outcomes Specialists.


Assess account needs and bring relevant cross-functional skills

Promote broad portfolio of products (up to 9 total); Strong knowledge of disease states, therapeutic areas, and products

Deep knowledge of applicable institutions/ organizations

Drive sales in assigned accounts

Develop strategic account selling and management skills

Maintain relationships throughout institutions

Gain access in difficult situations

Cultivate relationships with KOLs; build lasting relationships with top priority doctors

Assess needs of target physicians; Address needs with responsive approach, targeted skills, and appropriate resources

Deep knowledge of target physicians

Develop superior selling, technical and relationship building skills

Execute priorities of the District Business Manager and Regional Manager


BA/BS Degree from an accredited institution

Ability to travel domestically and stay overnight as necessary

Valid US driver's license and a driving record in compliance with company standards.

Live within 50 miles of territory

Substantial experience working with key thought leaders or high influence customers in large group practices, hospitals, or managed care organizations.

A demonstrated track record of success and accomplishment with previous pharmaceutical sales experience.

18 months previous pharmaceutical sales experience preferred.

Exceptional aptitude for learning and ability to communicate technical and scientific product and disease management information to a wide range of customers.

Demonstrated high degree of business acumen.

Proficiency using sales data/call reporting software/applications and able to adapt to Pfizer's long range technology model in brining Pfizer information to market.
