The Senior Human Capital Partner provides leadership in developing and executing human capital strategies in support of the overall business plan and direction of the organization, specifically in the areas of talent planning (including leadership succession planning) and acquisition, talent development, change management, organizational and performance management, and growth. This role is responsible for creating and driving an effective people strategy, organizational model and engaged culture. The person in this role must demonstrate the combination of business acumen and strong Human Resource functional knowledge.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Talent Planning 

    • Develops and executes a global, end-to-end talent strategy for the Medicare & Retirement business segment inclusive of buy, build and mobility strategies and tactics.

    • Assesses leadership and key role pipeline health and works in collaboration with Human Capital and leadership teams to develop solutions and close gaps.

    • Facilitate talent management discussions, mobility strategies and succession planning.  Identify and cultivate the development of high potential leaders within the organization.

    • Lead supply and demand analyses of the current and future people and skills needs of the organization and develop strategies and plans to meet those needs

    • In partnership with Talent Acquisition, develop staffing strategies and implementation plans and programs to identify talent within and outside the organization

    • Lead the development planning and programs to prepare top talent and leaders for more significant responsibilities

    • Identify competency, knowledge and talent gaps and develop specific programs for the filling of those gaps

    • Manages talent analytics ensuring accurate, meaningful data and dashboards are used to evaluate programs, processes and all talent-related activity.

  • Human Capital (HC) Planning    

    • Participate in the development of business plans and programs as a strategic partner with particular focus on the impact on people

    • Translate strategic and tactical business plans into meaningful HC plans and initiatives

    • Responsible for the overall organizational design and effectiveness, change management, culture, recognition and reward, workforce planning, knowledge management, retention and talent management/alignment

    • Partner with leadership to drive a positive employee engagement environment through the effective use of survey and other human capital analytics to create and drive an engagement strategy

    • Monitor and analyze human capital data and trends to identify potential opportunities, needs and issues that could impact business results or put the organization at risk; develop plans to mitigate

    • Ensure effective integration of mergers and acquisitions

    • Represent the face of human capital solutions and interests to executive and senior leadership and all employees in order to respond credibly to issues, concerns, and needs

Required Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Human Resources/Industrial Relations, Business or related discipline
  • 10+ years in Human Resources with leadership experience in multiple business settings
  • An experienced strategic leader and HR executive with sound technical skills, analytical ability, demonstrated judgment, and strong operational disposition
  • Thorough knowledge of all Human Resources disciplines and legal requirement
  • Proven ability to establish trust and build relationships with business partners and other members of leadership team
  • Ability to work successfully in a matrix environment and drive towards a common goal
  • Ability to drive change, influence individuals at all levels of the organization and to take appropriate risks; builds consensus
  • Excellent communications skills, both written and oral, as well as presentation skills to groups of varying sizes
  • Ability to handle complex situations, conflicts and issues effectively; is sensitive to how people and organizations function
  • Self-starter who acts independently and directs own work
  • Strong project management skills; demonstrated history of managing significant and complex projects
  • Simplifies complex processes; sets objectives and goals; detail-oriented and thorough
