What You’ll Do

 

 1. Pipeline Development

  • Working directly with other Cisco teams to deepen relationships, drive innovation and joint investment of outcomes with customer organizations.
  • Working directly with Cisco customers to drive innovation and joint investment of outcomes and proof of concepts.
  • Facilitate disruptive innovation such as Living Lab Experiences, Customers Cohorts and other initiatives as seen fit.
  • Liaise with senior and executive leaders within Cisco across functions to understand their customer needs and expectations for innovation.
  • Leading and building a pipeline of living lab opportunities with groups of Cisco customers.
  • Reporting on the pipeline to internal stakeholders.
  • Coaching other CHILL team members on how to do the same.
  • Presenting CHILL at Customer Experience Centre (CxC) visits when required.
  • Being the point of contact / support to ensure customer needs are heard and addressed by CHILL leadership.
  • Framing up customer engagements to drive the development of applicable innovation models and potential new service model offerings.
  • Help develop the strategy for program execution.

 

2. Executive Sponsorship

  • Liaising with senior and executive stakeholders across functions within Cisco, to understand internal strategic objectives and implications / expectations for innovation, which can shift.
  • Regular communications to build and maintain a network of executive support and sponsorship for CHILL and outcomes.
  • Representing CHILL through attendance at Cisco Live! and external programs and conferences
  • Public speaking events and meda briefings, as required

 

3. Orchestrating the Living Lab Experience

  • Iterating and improving on the design and planning of Living Lab Experiences.
  • Securing participation and curating teams from multiple customer organizations, for each Living Lab Experience.
  • Working closely with Cisco legal counsel in regards to IP and legal documentation.
  • Working closely with 3rd party vendors in the preparation for and delivery of Living Lab Experiences.
  • Facilitating disruptive innovation – by ensuring that concepts and prototypes being developed during the Living Lab Experience, are future-oriented and catalytic at the industry level.

 

4. Outcomes Management

  • Driving partnerships with customers to jointly invest in moving forward the outcomes of Living Labs Experiences.
  • Securing sponsorship, support and/or resources for Living Lab outcomes, from Cisco executives.
  • Working closely with the Silicon Valley community to partner and incubate Living Lab outcomes externally, via accelerator and incubator programs.
  • Guiding the management and overseeing regular reports and read-outs on Living Lab outcomes.

 

5. General

  • Tap into other CHILL resources as needed to drive specific initiative elements as needed.
  • Regular communication to maintain customer relationships.
  • Accountable for the performance and results of teams across multiple related disciplines.

  • Recommended Educational Background:
  • Typically requires MBA or advanced degree in addition to 7+ years of innovation consulting, business development and relationship building experience - in fields directly related to innovation.
