Do you want to be part of something amazing? The Coaching Team is looking for a Senior Instructional Designer.

TMBC is hiring a Senior Instructional Designer. In this position, you will focus on designing and developing various kinds of learning solutions, including instructor-led, self-paced, web-based and blended learning; partner with both internal and external stakeholders to analyze their learning needs and make appropriate recommendations for learning solutions. Design and develop training curriculum using appropriate instructional development methods; research, design, develop, and maintain training materials and supporting media.

This is a full-time position. We are headquartered in Beverly Hills, CA but the Senior Instructional Designer candidate can reside anywhere in the United States; however, preference will be given to the Atlanta, GA market.

Do the following activities make you feel STRONG?

  • Create engaging instructional content for soft skills (both manager and team member) in both traditional (print, PowerPoint) and online learning modalities.
  • Develop and maintain course materials including instructor manuals, participant guides, eLearning, train the trainer materials, job aids, evaluations, tests.
  • Design learning solutions based on audience needs and task analysis that include high-level design documentation, recommended delivery methods, curriculum content, and supporting materials to ensure mastery of learning objectives.
  • Design engaging, creative e-learning modules
  • Working with Manager, drive standardization and instructional design process improvements.
  • With senior staff guidance, establish, implement, and maintain instructional design methodologies, tools, and best practices
  • Analyze new or changed user tasks due to new product/program/process releases and upgrades.
  • Conduct task/impact analysis using standard department techniques (e.g., surveys, focus groups, interviews, etc.)
  • Conduct development tests to ensure design fulfills needs of learners.
  • Communicate design methodology to appropriate stakeholders (both internal and external clients) and coach them to properly deploy materials.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training design through the creation of assessments and evaluations that gauge the mastery of learning objectives during and after training
  • Evaluate need for updates to course materials/on-line modules based upon product releases, new functionality, and feedback.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

Education and Skills Required:

  • Master's Degree or equivalent in education & experience preferred. If not, an individual is expected to be actively pursuing achievement of either a Master's degree or industry certification during their tenure in this role.
  • 5--8 years' experience in instructional development or adult learning theory

Is it YOU we're looking for?

Preference will be given to candidates who have the following:

  • Strong instructional design and writing skills.
  • Knowledge of Captivate/Articulate and/or other e-learning software (strongly preferred).
  • Knowledge of e-learning content creation tools we haven't even heard of? Even better!
  • Knowledge of Adobe InDesign strongly preferred. Photoshop and Illustrator are a nice bonus.
  • Experience in developing courseware/curricula in a blended learning environment preferred. Ability to independently design and develop instructionally sound learning solutions in multiple modalities required.
  • Strong experience and success in developing creative e-learning modules
  • Skills & Abilities: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to complete projects/development in accelerated timeframes, which includes multi-tasking, prioritizing, and project management Instructional development tools: Experience with analysis/data gathering.
  • Knowledge of various leader development and coaching models and assessments
  • Strong technical skills are required. Knowledge of HTML, XML a plus.
