Senior IT Quality Consultant

Position Summary


We are seeking a Senior IT Quality Consultant for our Boston, MA location to lead technical projects involving data validation, automation, and test strategies and managing manual and automated testing and establishing test plans. Other responsibilities include: troubleshooting problems with application server, database, and operating system setup; running SQL queries to verify backend data accuracy; analyzing and dissecting system requirements and technical specifications to create and execute test cases for major business initiatives; data management and assisting business users in defining User Acceptance Testing; collaborating with internal and external business partners to plan, coordinate, test, and implement new automation and file transfer operations; serving as technical lead on large projects in the healthcare industry, ensuring quality and continuous progress; planning, documenting, evaluating, and tracking testing results to ensure system applications are free from defects implement and exhibiting project management skills to analyze system requirements and technical specifications to develop and execute test cases for large business initiatives; and ensuring all testing procedures comply with the standards and strategies of the software development lifecycle.



  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 5 years related (progressive, post-baccalaureate) experience.
  • Must have demonstrated experience with (1) Utilizing relational databases to analyze data and programming using T-SQL and PL/SQL; (2) Writing stored procedures and functions to automate data testing; ; (3) Two years working on Linux environments and writing shell scripts; (4) Version control tools including Apache Subversion (SVN) and GIT; and (5) Two years working with XML and JSON objects and functional testing of restful web services. Will accept experience gained concurrently.
