Medicinal Sciences (MedSci) is a large and dynamic organization at the heart of Pfizer's R&D engine, responsible for the design and development of small molecule drugs and biotherapeutics from early discovery onwards. The Senior Manager of Analytics will work as a core member of the MedSci Business Operations & Strategy group, whose remit includes optimizing the business operations of MedSci, ensuring effective internal and external communications, and implementing strategies that will enable MedSci to continue delivering on its track record of outstanding value creation for Pfizer Worldwide R&D. This role will involve partnering closely with multiple Pfizer stakeholders to develop robust analyses and provide impactful and actionable insights focused on MedSci resource optimization, risk identification / mitigation and other aspects of strategic portfolio management.

+ Lead the design, planning, prioritization and execution of a broad range of analytics to inform decision-making within MedSci and at the interface of MedSci and other key Pfizer organizations.

+ Support the development and implementation of a strategic approach to analytics that will enable MedSci to achieve its key objectives and to continue to drive portfolio delivery.

+ Synthesize actionable insights from strategic analyses into clearly-articulated communications targeted to senior leaders within as well as beyond MedSci.

+ Partner with the Head of MedSci Business Operations & Strategy to identify and drive strategic improvement opportunities within MedSci, on both a one-time and an ongoing basis.

+ Work closely with MedSci lines to operationalize strategy through the application of robust analytics focused on resource optimization, risk identification and mitigation, and other aspects of strategic portfolio management.

+ Monitor operational performance, identifying issues and partnering with leadership to recommend and develop appropriate actions.

+ Use available tools and systems to monitor progress against strategic goals and operating plans.

+ Generate regular reports on the status of specific projects and the value / risk profile of the portfolio; manage key documents and plans, keeping them current and accessible.

+ Identify opportunities to generate insights by combining internal data with information from established and novel third party sources.

+ Act as a strategic thought partner to leadership in goal-setting, strategy development, performance measurement, and new opportunity identification/prioritization to support strategic planning, operating plans, etc.

**Work and Educational Experience**

+ 6 - 10 years' experience in the biopharma industry (including R&D experience)

+ Experience and familiarity with the Pfizer organization, particularly R&D and Partner Lines, a plus

+ Advanced degree in drug discovery relevant topic - M.D., Pharm.D., or Ph.D. in life sciences - a plus **Skill Set**

+ Exceptional attention to detail and ability to deliver precision / accuracy in all work products is essential

+ Ability to work effectively as a member of complex matrixed teams

+ Strong analytical, problem-solving, data management and project management skills; proven ability to design robust analyses and generate impactful insights

+ Experience in working with high-level executives and preparing materials for senior audiences

+ Well organized, creative, independent and self-motivated; exceptional presentation, written, and oral communication skills and an ability to influence others using clear and compelling data and frameworks

+ Deep expertise working with large volumes of data and conducting secondary data analysis is required

+ Highly autonomous; results- and accountability-oriented.

+ Ability to work independently on qualitative and quantitative analyses

+ Ability to balance multiple projects involving a variety of analytic techniques

+ Strong interpersonal skills, with ability to quickly establish credibility with internal client-partners and to be seen as a valuable thought partner
