Role Summary



At Pfizer, we have brought our global analytics capabilities across R&D and commercial under one powerful new organization - Business Analytics (BA) that drives insights to action for some of the most critical business questions for the company.







The BA Scaled Analytics team, is a center-led organization that delivers both Center of Expertise and Self-Service capabilities across the organization. The Global Analytic Methodology Center (GAMC) within Scaled Analytics provides global support in the areas of Promotional Resource Allocation, Field Force Design and Forecasting and is the custodian of mature advanced analytics methodologies with responsibility to frame long term analytic strategies that grow analytics impact.







The Analytics Methodology Design role supports the evolution of BA's enterprise level analytical offerings in the areas of Segmentation, Promotional Channel Optimization and Field Force Design by leveraging advanced analytical tools and methods to build effective and scalable analytical assets.







Role Responsibilities **Analytics Methodology Design**







+ Support the evolution of analytics methodology at the enterprise level across key functional areas including segmentation, promotional optimization and field force design by building scalable analytical assets that appropriately leverage recent advancements in analytical methods and tools



+ Be a technical expert on the application of advanced techniques to solve challenging analytical problems



+ Execute complex enterprise level analytical projects requiring use of advanced analytic techniques



+ Advise other BA teams on methodology for execution of customized, novel and high priority analytical projects



+ Build assets and execute projects that move capabilities from prototype towards production



+ Build assets that support analytics democratization and enablement of other Business Analytics teams







**Leadership**







+ Lead matrixed project teams to execute analytical projects leveraging advanced analytics



+ Ensure 100% compliance to CEP rules, regulations and guidelines.







**Performance Measures**







+ Client and Business Analytics Partner Feedback



+ Demonstrable increase in analytics impact and efficiency - measured by increase in capacity, response time and business value driven by analytical innovations



+ 100% of Projects in compliance with CEP regulations







Qualifications



**Education:**







+ Advanced degree in analytics related areas including management science, business decision analysis, statistics/data science, economics, etc







**Experience:**







+ 8+ years of strong multi-disciplinary advanced analytics experience, with a preference for pharma and cross industry experience



+ Demonstrated ability to be a strong team player with the ability to collaborate effectively with a cross functional group of colleagues.







**Technical skills and competencies:**







+ Strong analytical thinker with the ability to understand analytics needs and use sophisticated analytical tools and techniques to build effective solutions.



+ Expertise with the application of statistics and data science techniques such as machine learning to solve business problems



+ Expertise conducting analysis in open source analytical programming languages - R and/or Python and in data manipulation using SQL ; Expertise developing user friendly interfaces using R-Shiny preferred



+ Expertise in interactive analytics and data visualization (Tableau preferred); Experience with D3 or similar a plus



+ Preferably, knowledge, insight and understanding of the pharma health care space (physician-level prescribing, institutional sales data, payer-prescriber-level data, formulary data, patient-level data, etc.)



+ Good communicator: Can readily align interpersonal style with the individual needs; can understand, translate, and distill complex, technical concepts to a layperson



+ Highly collaborative: Works effectively with others on matrixed teams; comfortable working in global environment and across time zones



+ Project Management Skills: Able to effectively manage time and resources for self and a small matrixed team of peers and contractor resources
