Role Summary

At Pfizer, we have brought our global analytics capabilities across R&D and commercial under one powerful new organization - Business Analytics (BA) that drives insights to action for some of the most critical business questions for the company.

The BA Scaled Analytics team, is a center-led organization that delivers both Center of Expertise and Self-Service capabilities across the organization. The Global Analytic Methodology Center (GAMC) within Scaled Analytics provides global support in the areas of Promotional Resource Allocation, Field Force Design and Forecasting and is the custodian of mature advanced analytics methodologies with responsibility to frame long term analytic strategies that grow analytics impact.

The Analytics Methodology Enablement (AME) team is a regionally aligned team (Americas, EMEA and APAC) that covers areas including Segmentation and Promotional Channel Optimization and is responsible for advancing the state of analytic methodologies and offerings in each region and ensuring they are localized and fit for purpose.

Role Responsibilities **Analytics Methodology Enablement**

+ Develop and evolve analytic offerings in each region that enhance commercial decision making across key functional areas including segmentation, promotional optimization and field force design

+ Execute customized, novel and high priority analytical projects in each region utilizing advanced analytical techniques to solve unstructured business problems

+ Partner with Regional Scaled Analytics Teams to govern execution of regular and standardized deliverables such as ROI and field force sizing analyses

+ Synthesize analytics results and trends across brands and markets into a holistic regional perspective that commercial and Business Analytics leaders can use to inform regional strategy

+ Build and operate assets that support analytics democratization and enablement of other Business Analytics teams

+ Partner with the Analytics Methodology Design Role to build assets and execute projects that move capabilities from prototype towards production


+ Lead matrixed project teams to execute analytical projects leveraging advanced analytics

+ Client and Business Analytics Partner Feedback

+ Demonstrable increase in analytics impact in the region - measured by increase in capacity, response time and business value driven by analytical enablement



+ Degree in analytics related areas including data science/statistics, management science, business decision analysis, economics, finance etc


+ 8+ years of strong multi-disciplinary analytics experience, with a preference for experience in the pharmaceutical industry or management consulting,

+ Demonstrated ability to be a strong team player with the ability to collaborate effectively with a cross functional group of colleagues.

**Technical skills and competencies:**

+ Strong conceptual and analytical thinking combined with the ability to effectively understand analytics needs and build effective solutions.

+ Experience with the application of statistics and data science techniques such as machine learning to solve business problems

+ Expertise conducting analysis in open source analytical programming languages R and/or Python and in data manipulation using SQL

+ Expertise in interactive analytics and data visualization (Tableau preferred)

+ Preferably, knowledge, insight and understanding of the pharma health care space (physician-level prescribing, institutional sales data, payer-prescriber-level data, formulary data, patient-level data, etc.)

+ Good communicator: Can readily align interpersonal style with the individual needs; can understand, translate, and distill complex, technical concepts to a layperson

+ Highly collaborative: Works effectively with others on matrixed teams; comfortable working in global environment and across time zones

+ Project Management Skills: Able to effectively manage time and resources for self and a small matrixed team of peers and contractor resources
