Job Details


The role will be responsible for providing strategic input in accessing new product opportunities in China, driving the new product development process through proactively managing cross functional team. Partner with various key internal stakeholders to ensure effective market assessment, product registration, product forecasting, prioritization and knowledge transfer to product management team.


Lead Assets Commercial Development Strategy and Planning:

1. Lead commercial strategy development and alignment.

2. Understand the evolving market and therapeutic area trend to evaluate market opportunity &; Forecast the impact on overall business within defined assets/compound/products.

3. Ensure successful coordination with global teams to timely integrate key market research into New Product assessment and prioritization.

4. Cultivate external opinion leader relationship.

5. Establish necessary professional relationships with government authority and external contacts

6. Successful hand over of brands to in-line Brand Business Units teams.

Portfolio Management within defined assets/compound Responsibility:

1. Lead /coordinate pipeline portfolio objective setting, alignment and tracking.

2. Develop commercial recommendations for portfolio prioritization and investment.

3. Leverage and influence various stakeholders and ensure successful team deliverables.

4. Coordinate with regional Market/Global teams to maximize New Product opportunity for China (Global engagement to understand product, priorities, global strategy, regional trends, etc.)

5. Lead /Support Senior Leadership in Communication of China pipeline Portfolio Strategy within defined assets/compound responsibility.

Lead commercialization planning stuff

1. Lead Compound Chinese name development, China trade mark be ready before approve. China preferred dosage and packing etc...

2. Lead production preparation from approval to hospital available.

3. Other strategic pre-marketing activity if needed.


- Demonstrating understanding of industry, market competitive trends in making strategic decisions.

- Experience with China pharmaceutical industry in Strategic marketing, new product planning, and commercial/business development.

- Experience with China pharmaceutical industry in Strategic marketing, new product planning, and commercial/business development.

- Undergraduate degree qualifications in Medical, Pharmacy or healthcare related discipline. Other qualifications in business/marketing will be considered as well. Preferred: Postgraduate or MBA qualification in Marketing or similar.

- Demonstrating ability for revenue forecast development and scenario building.

- Demonstrating ability for pipeline portfolio planning and management

- Strong analytical, strategic thinking, financial analysis and forecasting skills

- Sharp business acumen

- Excellent sense of Teamwork/Collaboration

- Demonstrating ability to lead cross functional team.

- Relationship and familiarity with product development in China

- Relationship and familiarity with medical community
