What you'll do at

Walmart.com is seeking a Senior Finance Manager to lead the financial management of the company’s Advertising Revenue, Online Media Program and pricing allowances. We are looking for a strong finance leader to support our exponentially growing advertising business

This position will partner with operations senior leadership to provide analytical insight, drive financial discipline and deliver business results. The position will require significant cross-functional work and relationship building across the partnership marketing team, merchandising and 3rd party advertising companies. Finally, this individual will be a strong and inspirational leader to raise the bar on hiring, developing and retaining the best talent to continue to build our world class finance team. As a result, candidates should possess the interpersonal skills necessary to function effectively as an ambassador and service provider while maintaining fiduciary responsibilities.

Budgeting/ Planning (20%)
•Create long range plan, annual capital, operating and overhead budgets in partnership with the Partnership Marketing team
•Support monthly P&L review process by reviewing actual results versus plan, preparing monthly variance reports for business owners, and analyzing key performance drivers
Lead the development of the annual business plans and presentations for executive review meetings

Forecasting (20%)
•Collaborate with Partnership Marketing to develop monthly financial forecasts that incorporate current business trends and strategies
•Collaborate with Project management and Engineering to develop capital forecasts and budgets and assess risks and opportunities
•Quantify and articulate risks and opportunities in achieving forecasts and prepare “cause of change” reports
•Create ad-hoc forecasts as needed during key periods to provide insights into areas of risk and opportunity and influence business strategies

Analysis and Driving Business Results(50%)
•Consolidate and report results to senior management
•Establish and lead processes to co-ordinate analysis across the Retail Finance organization to explain results and highlight risks and opportunities across several P&L lines both at recurring review meetings and in response to ad hoc queries
•Lead ad hoc deep dive analysis and participate in cross-functional initiatives to understand and respond to emerging business conditions
•Develop and maintain cross-functional relationships with key business partners to ensure alignment on strategies to maximize financial results
•Review trends to identify, communicate, and take action on opportunities to leverage expense
•Conduct ad-hoc analyses and build financial models to inform strategies, investment recommendations, and new business opportunities

Accounting Support (10%)
•Monitor P&L lines during monthly financial close; be able to discuss variances to forecast and plan
  • Develops and executes financial planning processes for assigned areas (for example, Merchandising, Marketing departments)
  • Drives the execution of multiple business plans and projects
  • Ensures business needs are being met
  • Oversees performance management activities
  • Promotes and supports company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity
  • Provides input for business decisions
  • Provides supervision and development opportunities for associates
  • Reviews and develops forecasting process for assigned operations, divisions, and departments

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required; B.S. in business administration, economics, finance, mathematics
7+ years of related work experience in a finance-related field (including management consulting, investment banking, big five accounting, corporate finance within Fortune 500)

Preferred Qualifications

5 years of experience in advanced financial analysis, including modeling, forecasting, and trend analysis.
3 years of experience in ecommerce finance.
3 years of experience in retail finance.
2-3 years of supervisory experience.
Master's degree in Business Administration or related field.
Digital Media experience a plus
