Leads fact finding investigations/audits involving complex allegations of irregularities, fraud, corruption, and/or other violations by overseeing testing procedures; identifying and documenting control deficiencies or weaknesses and providing recommendations for improvement; partnering with key stakeholders (Legal, Global Investigations, Ethics, Compliance, etc.) to investigate irregularities and allegations that have been made; reviewing complex data for patterns and anomalies and conducting electronic reviews of information; developing questions and strategy for leading and summarizing interviews with identified parties; providing updates to key stakeholders on the progress of projects; and verifying the details of work done by others.
Initiates and monitors the communication of results of investigations/audits, including control deficiencies or weaknesses, fraud matters, root causes, and recommendations to executive stakeholders by creating high impact executive reports that summarize procedures performed and findings from investigations/audits; supplementing legal reports with findings from investigations/audits; tailoring information in drafts to the requirements of the project and the needs of the audience; and reviewing reports and analyses created by others.
Builds the knowledge and capabilities of others by presenting forensic accounting and fraud related topics to others including the larger global Audit team; presenting forensic related information at formal and informal meetings, including a variety of stakeholders and settings; serving as a knowledge expert by addressing forensic related questions posed by individuals in Audit or other parts of the global organization; and making audience-tailored recommendations to others about addressing topics related to forensics and how the forensics team can help other businesses.
Leads internal networking initiatives by building and maintaining customer relationships with executives from across the global organization by targeting high risk business units that need forensic accounting support.
Drives the execution of multiple business plans and projects by identifying customer and operational needs; developing and communicating business plans and priorities; removing barriers and obstacles that impact performance; providing resources; identifying performance standards; measuring progress and adjusting performance accordingly; developing contingency plans; and demonstrating adaptability and supporting continuous learning. Provides supervision and development opportunities for associates by selecting and training; mentoring; assigning duties; building a team-based work environment; establishing performance expectations and conducting regular performance evaluations; providing recognition and rewards; coaching for success and improvement; and ensuring diversity awareness.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or business-related field. 5 years of experience in corporate investigations, internal audit, or business-related field.
Additional Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA), Accounting, Information Technology, Criminal Justice or related field. 3 years of project management experience. 4 years of consulting experience in forensic services (“investigations”). 1 year of public accounting audit experience. Financial certification or licensure (for example, Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE)). Spanish or Mandarin or Portuguese language fluency in addition to English language fluency.
