Position Description:

POSITION PURPOSE

Supports the HR VP in managing and executing all projects and action items as a result of continuing integration activities and Interline people strategies. This position will use a great deal of latitude in determining priorities and timelines in order to meet all goals and complete deliverables on time. This role has significant impact in ensuring that the major functions of the HR Organization are successfully achieved. Initially, this role will also be responsible for Implementing HR plans and programs to ensure the most effective utilization of human resources for our Corporate Functions as a HR Business Partner.

MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • 50% Manage planning, execution, & follow-up for key meetings and Core Integration meetings. Attend where appropriate (HR project review, HR meetings, budget reviews, integration planning sessions) and provide recaps and tracking / follow up to action items.
  • 15% Collaborate with HR leaders within IBI and Home Depot to continue to look for cost synergies and opportunities for process efficiencies across the entire organization
  • 35% Partner with Corporate Executives on Key HR programs and associate support


NATURE AND SCOPE
May be responsible for managing others such as HR Generalists or HR Coordinators


ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
Environment:
Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.


ESSENTIAL SKILLS:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must be eighteen years of age or older.
Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.

Education Required:
The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a high school diplomas and/or GED.

Years of Relevant Work Experience: 5 years

Physical Requirements:
Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

Additional Qualifications:
Extensive experience in managing various enterprise-wide Human Resource programs and processes. 

Preferred Qualifications:
Extensive knowledge of HR functions.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies:

  • Technical knowledge of Human Resources specialties including employment law, employee relations, management and organizational development, staffing, training and compensation.
  • Strong communication skills
  • Oral, written, and interacting with senior executives and outside Directors
  • Organization and planning - including managing complex projects from start to finish
  • Ability to build strong relationships and create partnerships across the organization to achieve goals
  • Ability to analyze data and present recommendations accordingly.
