The Senior Manager of Market and Competitive Intelligence is a key member of the UHC Community & State Market & Intelligence team within the strategy organization. You will support the company's growth aspirations and ensure a favorable competitive edge in Medicaid procurements through developing and managing market and competitive intelligence projects, conducting primary and secondary market research, and providing analysis and actionable insights to support growth, planning and business decision needs.

Incumbent may Telecommute or work from one of the C&S offices in either of the following states: Arizona, Delaware, Florida, Hawaii, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Maryland, Michigan, Mississippi, Nebraska, New jersey, New Mexico, Nevada, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, Washington, Wisconsin



Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct primary and secondary market research on competitors, market trend, policies, providers and consumer dynamics

  • Assess market and competitive intelligence needs, identify gaps, and define key intelligence parameters and deliverables
  • Identify competitive programs / offerings and perform benchmarking comparisons
  • Conduct strategic assessments of competitors, market segments, providers, and consumers
  • Develop cost, profitability and financial benchmarking analysis including due diligence and integrated financial modeling
  • Lead the development of critical analysis and actionable insights to support proposal development, sales growth, business development, strategic planning, and other business decision needs
  • Identify, track and forecast key sales, financial, and business drivers to support growth and strategic initiatives
  • Drive growth and capability development through the research and assessment of emerging trends in Medicaid and related fields, including healthcare-adjacent opportunities and innovative approaches and programs

  • Prepare comprehensive daily, weekly and monthly reports for distribution to local, regional, and national leadership teams

  • Manage market & competitive intelligence projects to support key initiatives
  • Work with the team to set up a robust process to gather, deposit, and transform data into analytical datasets and actionable insights
  • Establish and maintain an effective market & competitive intelligence portal to communicate data, information, and insights
