Description ROLE SUMMARY



The Global Security (GS) unit at Pfizer is a sub-division of the Company's Corporate Compliance Division. GS' mission is to provide leadership in the development and implementation of security policies and programs to protect the Company's personnel, real and intellectual property, reputation, and the integrity of our medicines, upon which the public relies to live happier and healthier lives. In support of this mission, GS Strategic Planning develops and implements long-term strategies to measure and communicate the value of GS in order to more efficiently and effectively mitigate corporate security risks to Pfizer. To this end, GS is seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to support the development and implementation of GS' strategic plan globally and throughout all levels of GS' functional directorates. This position will play an essential role in the development and implementation of standardized data entry protocols, data tracking, and data quality control procedures for a variety of GS functions. The individual hired for this role will support GS' strategic and operational objectives to enhance and streamline its data and technology in order to optimize GS' performance, risk mitigation, and cost effectiveness, as well as effectively market, brand, and communicate the value of GS in a large corporate environment.



RESPONSIBILITIES



The individual in this role will be responsible for assisting in the development, implementation, and management of GS' long-term strategic goals and objectives. Specifically, the role will include the following responsibilities:



+ Assisting in the development and implementation of GS' strategic plan globally and throughout all levels of GS functional directorates;

+ Maintaining and enhancing a visual dashboard to compile and analyze data and generate metrics and statistics relating to GS' performance, risk mitigation, and cost effectiveness for purposes of reporting this information to all levels of Pfizer management;

+ Developing and implementing standardized data entry protocols, data tracking, and data quality control procedures to measure the GS' performance relating to each of its functional areas (threat management, physical security, product integrity, and information security);

+ Supporting and working with GS' technology and infrastructure, including Tableau (data visualization platform that tracks GS' performance metrics and other data relating to security risk mitigation), Argos (secure intranet site for GS), GS Intranet Site (secure Pfizer intranet site for GS), and Team Connect (case/data management system);

+ Supporting the strategic analysis, alignment and coordinated integration of GS technology platforms and systems to optimize efficiencies and standardized capabilities across GS, Compliance and Pfizer overall.

+ Creating, maintaining, and/or revising uniform GS standards and operating procedures in order to optimize output;

+ Maintaining and updating a central repository of current training materials and content for internal and external presentations on GS' platform of services;

+ Internal and external communications, to include drafting, reviewing, and editing factual reports, memoranda, proposals, and presentations;

+ Reviewing and analyzing GS' budget on a monthly basis, coordinating with budget personnel, preparing budget communication for the leadership team; and,

+ Implementing special projects and other duties as assigned.



QUALIFICATIONS



+ The ideal candidate should be multi-faceted and versatile, demonstrating the experience and desire to track, analyze, and perform quality control measures on GS-related data and metrics, while simultaneously possessing strong, fact-based and analytical written and oral communication skills.

+ BA/BS required; JD or Masters preferred;

+ Excellent analytical as well as written and visual communication skills. This includes the ability to draft and edit factual reports, memoranda, proposals, and presentations, as well as compile data and generate metrics and statistics that accurately convey GS' functions in business terms to brief all levels of Pfizer management concerning performance, risks, and threats;

+ Experience in the area of strategic planning in a large corporate environment, preferred;

+ Demonstrated ability to collaborate with senior levels of management as well as identify, escalate, and resolve issues on a timely basis;

+ Demonstrated ability to work independently and prioritize multiple competing demands;

+ Demonstrated ability to adjust to unexpected and/or changing conditions;

+ Strong interpersonal skills and desire to work in a collaborative team environment with domestic and international colleagues. Ability to collaborate as both a project lead and in a team support role;

+ Strong outreach and proactive engagement traits, particularly developing relationships and leveraging those to accomplish business objectives and GS mission priorities;

+ High integrity and ability to exercise sound discretion and judgment; and,

+ Flexibility to travel (approximately 10% per year).



In addition to the qualifications outlined above, the most highly qualified candidates will also possess some or all of the following data analytics skills:



+ Experience in private industry working in a similar role. Particular experience in the pharmaceutical business is helpful.

+ Experience in creating reports, infographics, and presentations using Tableau or similar data analytical reporting tools.

+ Experience developing and conducting data validation and data quality assurance and controls



The position is a standard office based function located in the New York City headquarters office. The position is envisioned to ideally be located in the New York City headquarters due to the fact that this role is still in development, however, consideration will be given to remote locations if the most qualified candidate is not located in the NY/NJ commuting areas.



The position requires regular office work, which includes long periods sitting at a desk. It also requires the ability to work well both individually and in teams, both small and large to accomplish complex problems. The ability to read large volumes of information, review large amounts of data, and write reports and articles based on the information reviewed. The individual will need to work collaboratively with large diverse groups of individuals, some of whom will be remotely located in offices worldwide.



**NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS**



This is a regular office position requiring 40 hours of work per week in the New York City office 5 days a week. The position occasionally requires afterhours work to include weekends as the GS team is located around the world and therefore requiring evening and early morning, including occasional weekend work. The position requires occasional domestic and international travel.
