Unit Description

Sodexo has an opening for a Senior Manager, Pricing in the Government Services Division, Finance Department at our North American Headquarters in Gaithersburg, Maryland. This position reports to the Director of Pricing, who reports to the Division VP of Finance.


Responsibilities Include:

  • Develop cost/pricing models in response to solicitation or contract requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal organizations to develop costing data - labor, equipment, and other costs.
  • Assist in the preparation of management briefings.
  • Write pricing narratives.
  • Develop written responses to post-submission questions related to cost/pricing.
  • Prepare post-submission pricing revisions.
  • Maintain costing/pricing audit trail from receipt of RFP through final price documents.
  • Support cost estimates, project reviews, and internal/external audit requests with accurate financial data and value-added financial analyses.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Pricing/Accounting Experience, preferably supporting Government-related efforts.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of FAR and SCA. Experience with DCAA audits.
  • Demonstrated critical/analytical thinking and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint, at a minimum). Expert EXCEL skillset highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of ESSBASE, System Application Products (SAP – SDX Accounting System), Electronic Data Warehouse (EDW) / Business Intelligence (BI).
  • Demonstrated knowledge and ability to create, utilize, support, and explain complex spreadsheet models.
  • Ability to work independently when required.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment, and ability to interact with all levels of management.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Solid mathematics skills.
  • Must be able to detail-oriented and able to work in a fast-paced work environment.

Basic Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Finance or Accounting. Master’s Degree highly desirable.
  • Five years or more experience in pricing, finance or accounting, preferably in a Government-focused position.

Position Summary

Provides a leadership role within a Finance function. Responsible for reviewing and analyzing and preparing financial reports related to the finance function. Analyzes, reviews and implements process improvement. May lead a significant part of a project to enhance the internal and/or external financial reporting capabilities. Develop internal and/or external relationships to ensure maintenance and delivery of financial reports and information. Contributes to the tactical and strategic direction of the financial reporting function.

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree 

Basic Management Experience - 5 years

Basic Functional Experience – 3 years in accounting, finance or a related field
