You will be the professional and technical leader of the Cisco Enterprise Data Science Office, a team of a highly skilled, high performing data scientists and data engineers that deliver analytical solutions for digital transformation priorities. Your responsibilities include:

             Leading multiple teams through the development of effective analytical models and decision tools through the problem framing, data acquisition, data preparation, modeling and model evaluation phases.

             Executing work using industry and Cisco best-practice around programs methods, processes, and systems to analyze structured and unstructured “big data” and generate actionable insights in alignment with partner needs.

             Developing and assigning technical tasks to technical team leaders, in partnership with Data Science PMs and in accordance with goals set by partners

             Interacts with senior partners and consumers to identify impactful business questions for statistical analysis and experiments. Coaches others on the optimal use of our Big Data Lab technology stack, algorithms and automation to evaluate large datasets from multiple disparate sources, develop analytical models, and then generate uncanny insights.

             Acts as the SME and lead for feasibility testing (according to industry standard methodologies) to ensure that discovered insights are actionable by consumers; interprets and effectively communicates insights and findings to product, service, and business partners.

             Is responsible for delivering better decision-making tools and business outcomes through effective and actionable insights (descriptive, predictive, prescriptive).

You will manage a team that is made up of data scientists, engineers and PM's with technical expertise in multi-disciplinary areas of data science, data architecture and analytics project management who have domain expertise and experience from several different business sectors.

             Deep knowledge and proven success in designing, developing and deploying analytical models (Data Manipulation, Machine Learning/Predictive Models, Model evaluation, Productionalization)

             Experience working with structured data and unstructured data.

             Expert-level experience developing analytical models utilizing the CRISP-DM framework

             Expert-level knowledge of either the R or Python programming languages and meaningful advanced analytics libraries and/or packages (i.e. dplyr, randomForest, e1071 or pandas, SciKitLearn, numpy, scipy)

             Expert-level presentation and communications skills, and is highly experienced in working closely with senior or executive leaders. Is able to guide the ability to distill complexity and present and explain the data and insights in simple and easy-to-understand business terms.

             The aptitude to anticipate business and industry challenges; recommend functional process or service improvements; has expert understanding of and contributes to the improvement of Cisco’s processes, products, services and customers

             BS in STEM field, preferably Computer Science, Math or Statistics

             Masters Courses in Data Science, Business Analytics Applied Statistics

             At least 6 years of Experience as a Data Scientist and Associate Data Scientist

             Expert-level, diverse portfolio of analytical products that illustrate knowledge and experience in the above areas (Scripting, Analytical Modeling, Visualization etc..)

             Certified Analytics Professional Certification
