ROLE SUMMARY



Pfizer's RWD team is responsible for identifying and making available high quality Real World Data and for supporting business needs across the enterprise by identifying opportunities, implementing analytic approaches, and executing analyses based on RWD.







We're looking for an entrepreneurial individual experienced with RWD and other types of healthcare data, that's knowledgeable and passionate about technology, data and healthcare, is not afraid to experiment and fail, and is capable of working in large, complex environments.







This individual will be responsible for setting-up partnerships with various constituents in the healthcare eco-system (payers, physicians, data vendors, etc.) to conceptualize and pilot new approaches that leverage patient data in innovative ways to improve patient care delivery and support internal business objectives.







He/She will need to be creative thinker, comfortable with ambiguity, able to learn about and navigate complex business issues and propose innovative ways to overcome them by using technology, data and analytics.







This individual will be expected to constantly scan and evaluate the external environment to identify new tools and capabilities that can improve internal analytic efficiencies and business outcomes.







ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES







+ Lead identification of potential internal and external partnerships and the development and initial testing of tangible prototypes and business models that leverage digital technologies to generate new sources of RWD and demonstrate how RWD can improve value proposition of Pfizer products;



+ As a global subject matter expert, assist with preparation of insightful and actionable content for internal sharing and serve as strategic lead for pilots and projects that leverage new and innovative methods to generate RWD



+ Responsible for the day-to-day operation of the RWD Innovation Lab, which includes digital/data/analytics landscape assessments, feasibility analyses, partner evaluation and onboarding, etc.



+ Keep a "finger on the pulse" of assigned digital & RWD innovation trends, services and business models including researching the landscape to identify solutions for specific business needs in a more effective and efficient way;



+ Extend and leverage the RWD network of experts, identify, scope-out and lead pilots with thought leaders, academia, startups and other partners to enable Pfizer's long-term RWD leadership globally.



+ Proactively identify opportunities, capabilities and tools that improve the efficiency of the analytic production function.







QUALIFICATIONS







+ - M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Healthcare Research, Healthcare Policy or other relevant fields



+ - Deep understanding of the healthcare eco-system, the roles of different players and stakeholders;



+ - Proven track record of conceptualizing and implementing digital/data initiatives with direct impact on enterprise capabilities and business;



+ - Proficiency with analytic and data visualization tools



+ (e.g. Tableau, Spotfire) a plus;



+ - 5+ years of experience, preferably in the healthcare, consulting or technology, but other fields may be considered
