Description

The Sr. Manager, Sales Operations is responsible for managing alignment between Inventory Solutions boundary partners (Marketing, Product, Client Experience, Client Success, G2G, Events, Industry Relations, Value Strategy) and our sales organization (Commercial/ Wholesale, Regional Commercial, Field Sales).  This person will assist in prioritizing initiatives for the sales team and provide clarity and focus.
This role provides critical insight from the sales perspective to our boundary partners during the planning and execution phases of all projects and initiatives.  This role works in partnership with the individual responsible for sales communications to ensure awareness and adoption of corporate initiatives among all sales teams.  There will also be heavy collaboration with the Sales Effectiveness team to reinforce messaging and initiatives. This role will hold responsibilities for facilitating sales contests, spiff programs, and lead/referral programs.
  • Engage and consult with Inventory Solutions leaders in Sales, Sales Operations, Marketing, Operations, and Cox Auto business partners to gain deep understanding of business unit objectives, and key initiatives that require sales team member engagement
  • Represent the Sales and Sales Operations team in critical boundary partner meetings acting as the “voice of sales”
  • Participate in the planning, design, and implementation of sales initiatives, pilot projects, product launches, and marketing campaigns, working in conjunction with sales effectiveness team
  • Work in partnership with the individual responsible for sales communication and the sales effectiveness team to facilitate engagement and adoption among the sales teams
  • Participate in creation, design, and measurement of national sales contests.  Act as the point of contact before, during, and after all sales contests.  Present to leadership throughout the process.
  • Act as point of contact for spiff programs and lead/referral programs, working in conjunction with Sales Strategy, CRM Manager, CA Client Success, and other boundary partners
  • Develop and coordinate the annual sales awards program, working in conjunction with sales effectiveness and reporting/ analytics team
  • Partner with Client Experience team to facilitate G2G adoption among sales teams
  • Monitor the success of initiatives and identify areas of improvement
  • Prioritize projects/ initiatives and communicate risks and opportunities
  • Partner with business leaders to ensure plans remain on schedule and are always visible to key stakeholders
  • Utilize CRM tools on a daily basis and monitor sales results
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent job experience required
  • At least 5 years of sales experience or business related experience required
  • Demonstrated experience to manage multiple simultaneous initiatives to successful completion
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic and nimble environment which can pivot very quickly to reflect the changing needs of the company or industry
  • Detailed oriented and able to multi-task and prioritize
  • Highly organized, highly structured
  • Influential, ability to present to upper management
  • Experience with deployment over multi-faceted business
  • Comfortable in corporate setting
  • Effective communication skills - ability to craft solid messaging for the intended audience including executives and team members
  • Comfort working in environments requiring cross-functional collaboration and decision making
  • Ability to resolve issues, develop alternative solutions and provide justified recommendations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated ability to use web-based applications for collaboration and facilitation, e.g., WebEx, Skype, social media sites, etc.
  • Automotive Industry experience a plus
