Job Details

Location: Rome

Contract: Permanent

Provide external and internal, therapeutic Cardiovascular and Metabolic Area - relevant strong or advanced patient-centric medical, clinical and scientific know-how. Provide medical affair leadership to the clinical development and registration process of pipeline compounds, to the post-approval in country LCM. Ensure appropriate use of medicinal products, through medical professionalism, engagement in long-term peer-to-peer customer relationships, generation and

medical-to-medical communication of relevant data. Integrate customer medical insights into the country medical and brand strategy, provide medical scientific and strategic support to the regional medical team, medical leadership to the country brand team, country and / or local XFTs, lead implementation of the country medical plan.


Develop and consolidate an appropriate network of long term peer-to-peer at the national and local level based on medical and scientific relevance;

Select regional scientific stakeholders, prioritize activities on KOLs, identify issues in alignment with Local Business Plan;

Foster strong scientific partnership with KOLs/Scientific Societies;

Disseminate scientific information to KOLs through 'Medical to Medical communication' (individual meetings and group), in line with company procedures;

Develop with KOLs medical activities developed at the central level (e.g. medical education programs, congress, etc.) to support the implementation of scientific strategies in their own territory;

Provides support for adequate IIR/NIS studies management;

Contribute to the preparation of operating plans for the product on the basis of identified local opportunities, supporting development activities in support to the relevant therapeutic area in alignment with BU strategies;

Support scientific activities with regional KOLs and Scientific Societies (e.g. Meetings, conventions, Advisory Boards, etc.);

Define the scientific content of local initiatives implemented on KOLs (eg Hospital Meeting - Symposia) and monitor the status of the initiatives providing continuous update to the supervisor/other functions involved in the management of the customer;

Participate in training and cycle meetings with Field Force to provide technical and scientific support and ensure an adequate level of knowledge of the participants on the scientific issues discussed;

Analyze customer insights and action them into the medical and marketing strategy;

Provide scientific and medical expertise to KOL.


Medicine degree;

Previous experience in the Cardiovascular Area;

> 1 years industry or clinical, or academic experience, clinical experience post MD degree strongly preferred, research experience with track record of publications preferred;

Experience in conducting clinical research activities strongly preferred;

Knowledge of clinical development processes;

Fluent English plus local language;

Strong Communication and influencing Skills;

Strong Presentation Skills;

Strong Analytical skills;

Planning and Organization.
