Primary Responsibilities:

  • Perform all phases of software engineering including requirements analysis, application design, code development and testing
  • Design and implement product features in collaboration with business and IT stakeholders
  • Design reusable components, frameworks and libraries
  • Participate in an Agile/Scrum methodology to deliver high-quality software releases every 2 weeks through Sprints
  • Review code and provide feedback relative to best practices and improving performance
  • Troubleshoot production support issues post-deployment and come up with solutions as required
  • Lead the Performance Engineering activities for our key Microsoft stack application platform
  • Prepare and execute performance & load test strategy, planning for performance testing, and performing test execution based on the plan.
  • Report test results and collaborate with developers for in - depth analysis to find and rectify the root causes of any performance issues.
  • Drive performance modeling, benchmarking, capacity planning and infrastructure optimization
  • Develop robust test scripts that accurately reflect expected user load
  • Collect all key performance measurements to be interpreted to present performance characteristics and trends of our applications
  • Set up and maintain performance / longevity test labs that will require to be updated for each release cycle
  • Manage physical & virtual hardware and software environments used for testing
  • Maintain a detailed understanding of system component interaction and data relationships to effectively build and execute tests and analyze results
  • Participate in continuous integration / delivery framework development by implementing performance testing into our overall CI / CD infrastructure
  • Explore new tools for profiling, monitoring or reporting
  • Drive continuous performance monitoring and improvement to ensure reliability, stability, and scalability of our application using tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace, DCRum, Ignite, Jenkins, Git, etc.
  • Acts as a performance consultant to the technology team
  • Educate teams on performance testing processes, methodology, performance and scalability, and the science of testing
  • Train, mentor, and lead teammates
